I've been so out of date with the latest crop of animes that my friend ended up lending me about 10+ series to watch. I've only gone through about 4 of them so far.
Currently watching Lucky Star. Got through 3 episodes of that so far and I gotta say the random talk about various things with no plot is a real turn off, the lucky channel skit at the end of each episode was funny though. It should get interesting after episode 4 with the change of director.
The series I've completed a few days ago are The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, Zero no Tsukaima (you can't help but picture Shana and Yuji from Shakugan no Shana from the two main Japanese voice actors) and just finished Kanon (2006 version) tonight. Kanon had such an emotional and moving story about making promises and fulfilling them, the music is also great too. It's one series that I've cried while watching and I haven't done that since watching His & Her Circumstances.
I'm intending to watch Bartender next as the premise of the story sounds interesting ever since I read the description of it at Manifest.

Watched the first Episode of a series called Claymore and I was quite impressed by it. Anyone seen it? Hear is a bit of a blurb about it
In this world, humans coexist with creatures called Yoma sentient monsters that feed on human innards. The Yoma, being shapeshifters, are capable of taking on human form and living in disguise amongst humans. By consuming a human's brain, Yoma can also absorb their memories, allowing them to disguise themselves as specific people without alerting any of their close friends or family.
A nameless and highly secretive organization has created an order of superhuman warriors to protect humans from the Yoma. These warriors have come to be popularly known as Claymores, after the immense claymores they wield. Villages being attacked by Yoma hire Claymores to kill the Yoma for a large fee.
This organization creates the Claymores by implanting Yoma flesh and blood into humans, thus creating hybrids that are more powerful than the original Yoma, in addition to their weapons training and often greater intelligence.
More can be found on Wikipedia.
Anyway the show has a nice mysterious, brooding atmosphere to it and is well animated. Story looks good so far and it has a fair amount of action.
Currently watching Ah My Goddess TV series. I loved the OVA, but haven't seen the TV version yet
Anyway I'm six episodes in and it's brilliant

Seen the first 20-ish episodes of Claymore, so to those doubters and one-episoders... go watch! The Blue One has spoken!
No seriously, it's great The last few episodes diverge a bit from the manga (and they're the ones I haven't seen yet) but it's a good series, plenty of fights and some decent plot to go with.
Just because it's in the thesaurus doesn't mean it's a good idea.
And why isn't 'dethesaurisation' in the dictionary?

Bartender was one of the better offerings on the Saturday, highly recommended.

It's hard to admit but it's true. We need resources to watch. For example me, to watch different series ( hentai not included) i have to resort to illegal means (that illegal thing is could not hurt any human being, I think )

I envy you comrade *with a russian accent* (damn russian accent is soo cool!! It's always remind me of the mafia )
I know its kinda late, but I finished watching Himawari, and I've got a question, is there an actual plot or storyline at all, cause the whole thing just seem like a bunch of fillers with no story at the beginning at all. Well, at least thats what I thought.
Just finished watching claymore. Its spectacular, simply amazing. But i think its not sufficient, I want more seasons!!! more!!! more!!! more!!! I want the next season!!! the next!!! the next!!!
Just finished watching Claymore as well and what a cracking series it is! This anime is definatley worthy of a second season.
It's good that the manga is still ongoing. There is so much more in the story still to tell.
