The unoriginal ''What anime are you watching?'' topic is back. Post up which anime(s) you're watching and post some comments on the anime(s), if you want. Better than just posting a big list, you know?

Well, here's what I'm watching currently.

Amaenaideyo - I get a vibe that this anime is very similar to Tenchi, so I dub it Tenchi clone. Episodes for this series are not released all that often on fan-sub, so I've only watched up to episode 4. Regardless, not too into this series at the moment. In short, it's about a priest that banish ghosts after he see a girl's breast.

Basilisk - Funimation really making sure this series is not released too often on fan-sub. Since it's been licensed, been very diffcult to get, so I've only watched up to episode 20. So, far it's really good gore and ninja action, like Ninja Scroll. A battle between 2 villages with 10 ninjas on each side, which each ninja have a special skill of their own. If you like Ninja Scroll, you could check this out.

Black Cat - I've watched up to episode 12 of this series. Really good series, I get a Get Backer vibe from this series since it has a ton of comdey like Get Backer, but get serious when it need to get serious. Basically, an assassin know as Black Cat and XIII turned good guy after a certain event.

Bleach - It's Bleach, a popular anime, not much else to say about it since I think most people know what it's about. I'm update to date with this series.

Blood + - Blah, not sure what to say about this. Beautiful animation and good music, but outside of that, it's putting me to see. The action been small, but with little action it had, it's been dull. The storyline is meh, along with the characters up this point. Outside looking beautiful, got nothing much to say about this series at all.

Gakuen Alice - Funny and cute anime about children with special powers know as Alice going to a school together to hone their special powers. Fan-sub are very slow in releasing this series, but it's quite entertaining.

Get Backers - Restarting this series. Stop watching at episode 10.

Ginban Kaleidoscope - Not too into this so far. It's a sport/comdey anime about a figure skater being possess by a ghost. It's had it's moment, but nothing special. Only up to episode 4 on this series, I believe.

Gun X Sword - Another typical action anime.

Kamichu! - Watch one episode of this series so far, so what you expect me to say about it?

Kanon - Forgot where I left off with this series, but getting back into it.

Karin - Very funny comdey anime involve vampires.

Mahou Sensei Negima - The creator of this series created Love Hina. I've been so-so into this series, but just seem as pointless as Love Hina was. If you like Love Hina, you'll probably like this series.

Monster - Still giving this series a chance. Up to episode 10 so far. Basically, about a doctor that lost everything operating on a young boy and saving his life. In turn, this boy turned out to be a complete monster and one day the doctor wish that everybody that ruined his life were better off dead and the boy granted his wish. After the doctor finds out the truth, he chases after the monstrous boy while being chased by police himself for being the suspect of killing the people the young boy killed.

Pretty much, a Mystery, Drama and Suspense anime series.

Naruto - Blah to filler saga.

Peace Maker Kurogane - Going to start watching this series tomorrow or Saturday.

Rozen Maiden Traumend - Second season of Rozen Maiden. A series about dolls which I thought would have stink since it's theme was dolls, but turned out to be very good.

Shuffle! - Great romance and comdey anime. Around the end, it get much serious. I'm on the next to final episode of this series, which is coming to conclusion. Can't wait to finish this series up.

Solty Rei - Yep, watched up to episode 7 and have to watch 8 and 9.

Suzuka - Great romance and sports anime. Heard the manga was more ecchi and also more graphic than the anime series. Main character come off as a stalker, but still a good series.

GITS-SLC Ghost in the Shell - Standalone Complex

Just finished watching the entire season in English..... At the moment I'm a little confused at a cri[tic remark in the last Vol said by Big B, regarding the Major..... I might re-watch it again in Japanese and look at the Dub before I start asking you guys what you think he said........

Well let's see, at the moment...

Bakuretsu Tenshi - Also known as Burst Angel... it's not that great, I only got it cause of two reasons, 1 it looks like BGC, 2 it's a Gonzo animation. But it's pretty disappointing... it is funny though, but not the good kind of funny XD

Card Captor Sakura - Recently watched the entire series, the original Japanese version that is, rewatch it all over again with my two neices.

Fullmetal Alchemist - Seen the first 20 eps of FMA, can't wait to get the next tin set with the next OST.

Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu - XD So damn funny, gotta get the last volume of it.

Gantz - Violence and nudity, everything a growing boy needs.

Madlax - Nice n interesting, need to see Noir after this XD

Peacemaker Kurogane - Almost done with this series... not much to say about it though lol

Samurai Champloo - Champloo is great... what more should I say? XD


Well I've been watching a hellova lot more anime than that, this is just what's going on at the moment. Plus I'll be picking up a lot more anime in months to come as well.

Yeah, I feel the same way about this series.

I have this series on CD, but never bother finished watching this series. It does have very beautiful animation, but outside of that, I can't really say it's all that good. They try to make the female characters reveal as much as possible without being nude, but that's really not keeping me interested in this series at all.

Samurai Champloo - Champloo is great... what more should I say? XD

I take it you liked Cowboy Bebop, too?

I'm asking that, because I never really like Samurai Champloo, which is similar to Bebop by being a series that's basically just a bunch of filler episodes until the final 2 or 3 episode. While I do like the characters, animation, music and theme of Champloo, I never really thought it was that great as everybody makes it out to be, like Bebop.

Too add, I am aware the creator of Champloo, was also the creator of Bebop.

Shuffle! - This is the latest and probably newest anime I've been watching and following up so far. Like Eva said, it's a great romance anime and for once this is the type of anime where one guy who is surrounded by lots of girls doesn't act like a jerk most of the time. The first couple of eps were pretty funny but as the series progresses, the storylines deepens. I felt really sad about the story of Kaede's past and her relationship with Rin. There are-as expected-numerous panty shots.

Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid - Starts off good and continues on storyline from the first series but somehow I eventually got tired of it and gave up on the series by episode 8, I'm sure there are many who will disagree with me but I had alot of hope in it but I was let down. Though I was let down, I can't ever forget the scene of that crazy professor singing Ave Maria in the middle of a gun battle.

Kyou Kara Maou! - Continuing onto a second season since...well mid2005 of the first season, I think the story is coming close to an end as there seems to be a big battle looming. This has sort of medi-evil feel type of anime with magic, maybe a bit like .hack//sign.

BakuTen has beautiful animation, and decent music, but that's all it's got going for it. They basically reuse the same 'damsel in distress gets rescued' with the same characters for 25 episodes. There might have been an overarching storyline in it, but I don't think I was awake enough to catch it.

You need to see Noir, Lynk, it's practically heresy to see Madlax without seeing Noir too XP

Not really watching very much at the moment. Finished ROD TV a while ago, and was watching Kiddy Grade, planning to try and finish it soon. Currently watching Mai Otome and starting Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid.

Yes I agree with Blue, Lynk you really should watch Noir. I had some pre-conceived notions about the series before (having just the first eps on a sampler disc) thinking it was gonna be a boring show but I actually ended up liking it. Although I haven't seen Madlax, I can pretty much guess it's like Noir just like others have said. Just a note on Noir though...some scenes can get awfully quiet where no characters talk or anything but it is put in the series for a reason.

And so they should be The OAV and TV are some of the few animes that can make me laugh until I cry, almost cry for real, and enjoy being the villain for once. Go the British Library, complete with godawful accents! And, sadly, I know people who act like the characters (not met anyone who can phase through walls though...)

Awesome, darktruth. You're the first person I foudn that watch ''Shuffle!''. I'm probably going to make a topic about it once the final episode is released. You forgot to mention that Shuffle! does have a lot of bare breast and butt shot in it, too.

I've been mean to check out Madlax, but I don't think it's my type of anime. Though, I do watch just about everything. I might check it out down the road, along with Noir. I also still need to check out Read or Die.

Record of Lodoss war- basic D&D themed anime

Suzuka- romantic themed anime for the win!

Martian Sucesser Nadesico i didn't think i would like this series, but it kinda grew on me , watching at the anime club

Azumanga Daioh dunno if the anime club will finish it, we never seem to watch any lol.

Midori No Hibi i just took a random pick with a new series to watch and ended up with this. it's kinda funny. i like it.

Mahou Sensei Negima ALL HAIL KEN AKAMATSU!

Paradise Kiss not too sure if i'd like this series, it's about this girl who meets a bunch of fashion designers and becomes a model for them. it actully is pretty good.

I try to watch one anime at a time, right now I'm marathoning Zeta Gundam, probly going to move on to ZZ Gundam or Gundam X after that. GITS : SAC and SAC 2nd Gig are about the only animes I care to watch that are on TV.

Spriggan - Movie
Noah's ark has been discovered and two secret organizations are fighting to gain control of it. As it turns out, the ark is much more than "just a boat". I thought it was good, beautiful animation and lots of nice action scenes.

Harlock Saga - OVA
Some fool has stolen the rhine gold and made a ring out of it. He wants to use its power to destroy Valhalla -the home of the gods- to exact his revenge. Of course... doing so will destroy the entire universe, so it's up to Harlock and his crew to stop him. Corny description, great show... of course, I'm sort of a Harlock fanboy, so take my recommendation however you want.

Black Magic M-66 - OVA
Two prototype military robots have escaped, and are loaded with a defective OS and a test target... which they are now after. Sybel, a freelance reporter, has discovered this and eventually finds out who the target is and takes it upon herself to protect her. A classic Shirow anime, just my kind of show. Fans of old school anime will love this.

To be honest most of the stuff ive been watching recently has been stuff on Toonami, jetix, or some random Anime DVD ive picked up from my local HMV

HMV? How much do they charge for the average type of anime DVD? I'm curious to know seeing the local ones here in Australia charge a tad bit over the RRP.

Generally £18 - £20 per disc.

Depends some of them can be as low as £5.99 (especially now with the sales), but yeah on average between £18 - £20

Madman and other companies that sell anime sell their DVDs for 30AUD per disc but a lot of places sell em for less, around the 25AUD mark. Stuff that isn't a new release can be bought for less though.

Most of the anime DVDs don't seem to enter the sales, at best you'll get about £3 off. At least, that's been my experience, maybe it's different this year.

You can say that again! Last time I came back from Down under, there was more Anime DVD's in my suitecase then I could fit. I had to be very careful going through Customs back in London, I wouldn't want to pay the VAT on all thoses DVD's.....

Card Captor Sakura - I'm perpetually watching this series. I want to buy the "newly" released boxed sets in the near-future, but I'm poor so we'll see how that goes.

On Mondays on Adult Swim Action night and on Thursdays, I try to catch an episode of Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex. Such a good Anime. Been thinking of buying a DVD of the series some time so I can see it as many times as I please.

Magic Knight Rayearth - Oh no, a magical girl show! I've only watched 2 episodes so far, so I really don't have much of an opinion of the show.
