About the Webmaster

Hey, I'm Lynk Former and I am the webmaster of The Anime Crisis Center as well as the various other sites under this domain. I have been creating web pages since I first became active on the web back in 1998, though my first few attempts were pretty bad since I really didn't know what I was doing in the first place. I had no knowledge of HTML or what a good web page should consist of. All I knew was that it was a bunch of pictures and text on a screen. I started in GeoCities, like many, using their online page builders, but thankfully, as I realised that page builders sucked I moved onto programs like FrontPage... which wasn't any better lol. After escaping from the dark ages of web development, I've finally come into the light. I really do know what I'm doing these days; after many years of learning how NOT to do things, I've finally come to a point where I am making web pages that are actually worth visiting. So I hope you enjoy this web site and all of the other sites I have created; it takes a lot of time and effort but it's worth it because a lot of people get to enjoy it all.

I like a good story, and all through my life I've always wanted to be able to draw, though to be honest I really do suck at it. But even so I'm still attracted to anything animated. Anime combined those two elements that I craved perfectly and I'm glad I finally discovered it. I have a rapidly growing anime collection and watch any kind of anime you can throw at me. I'm not too picky; as long as I can find something good about the anime that I can relate to or understand from a certain point of view I'll watch it and I'll like some part of it. Every anime has its charm, but of course there are some that are better than others, and others that you just cannot compare.

I'm not the type of person to give my opinion on something until I've actually seen as much as I can of it, so discrimination is out of the question. I am a fan of the English audio tracks of animes though I know many aren't. I do understand that the Japanese version is the original, yes. But I also think that the English audio tracks these days are extremely well done, and I hate it when people blindly badmouth them and think that somehow every Japanese version of an anime is made of pure gold. I don't favour one over the other, I would just like to see people be a little... no, A LOT more fair about these things. Continuing on, I am also against anyone who tries to steal anime in any form. I've heard people try to justify it all they want by blaming corporations or claiming that they're too poor or can't find anime in their area. I know there are a lot of people out there that do buy their anime eventually, but for the select group who don't and think they're still supporting the industry, you can go fuck yourselves.

Oh and on a final note, I am a big Nintendo fan. But I'm a fan with common sense, so don't think I'm some mindless fanboy.

About the Site

I created this place a long time ago back on the 1st of December, 2001, though back then it was The Bubblegum Crisis Center. After a few years, I have moved BGCC to tacc.lynkformer.com/bgcc and have converted the main site to The Anime Crisis Center, which was opened on the 1st of October 2005.

But why go to all this trouble to create all of this? Well, when I first created The Bubblegum Crisis Center back in 2001, I did so because I was sick of not finding any decent Bubblegum Crisis sites out there. So, I decided that I would be the one to create a BGC web site that people can be proud of... but like I said, BGC isn't that popular so I needed to expand. The Anime Crisis Center was the answer.

Over the years, I have watched a lot of anime and I have found that some of those great animes have even less of a web presence than BGC has. So I decided that I would create web sites about those animes as well. I decided to create TACC, a kind of hub (or overworld for all those RPG fans) where people could gather and find all of those dedicated anime sites that were a part of this network.

About the Forums

This web site of mine wouldn't have made it this far without a special group of people, who have hung on through a lot over the years. When this site was still BGCC, we had three forums that existed over time. The first two survived for only a month or two each before they died for various reasons. The third incarnation survived for a couple of years but died due to a database corruption where all the data was lost. But that's not going to stop us from rebuilding our community. This fourth incarnation will survive no matter what and I'll go to any extreme to make sure it doesn't fall as the last one did.

About the Network

This web site started off as The Bubblegum Crisis Center, and to this day that old Bubblegum Crisis site is still active. Since then I have created more and more web sites for animes that I think are pretty good but don't have a decent web site for people to find information. This network that is a part of The Anime Crisis Center exists to bring my work together under one domain so that everyone can find what they are looking for easily. For more information view the Network page to find out about the individual sites that are currently available.
