i love this show. the animation is very much like FLCL (almost a duh with it also being from gainax) but also with the addition of some more noticeable CGI. i'm not sure what they're going to do with just 6 episodes, but i can't wait for lunar to come out with 5 and 6!

out of curiosity, does anyone know where i could download the music from it? it's got sort of a 70s flowers and sparkles feel to it and it cracks me up. XD

they released a single but nothing substantial i'm afraid .

sad monkeys all around. i finally had a chance to watch episode 4 and now i'm practically desperate for lunar to put out 5! oooh the suspense...

to be honest though, i haven't seen the original, and i can only think that they chose that name for the basic premise and to pull on fans of the original maybe? even so, it's holding well. the animation is fantastic, the characters are intriguing and the music is great. everyone should check it out! /pimping

I decide to watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, probably one of the most popular anime around the net at the moment. The hype is well deserved. This is one good anime. If you like random comdey and looking for a different type of anime, then you should check out The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

I watched the first Ghost In The Shell movie yesterday and I was severely underwhelmed. It was neat but didn't really feel like it went anywhere.

a friend of mine was like "whoa! Burst Angel!" so i'm checking it out. not because he'd seen it, just because he'd heard a lot of noise i guess? i don't know. through the first two episodes, which isn't a lot, but i can't say i'm hooked. it reminds me of bgc with the whole four women mercenary team thing, but i was not this disinterested in bgc after the first couple of episodes (obviously, haha). ah well.

maybe i'll watch a few more and see how it goes.

Indeed I did, Episode 10: 1st scene completly freezes after the first 30-40 seconds, same at the end, i rewind it from the start of scene 2 as a test and bang 40 something seconds in and it freezes, disk 2 was fine though... that mine was faulty i can see as a one off, that yours is faulty could be a coincidence.... anyone else had a problem with 2nd gig vol 3?


Anyway... I'm also considering getting Elfenlied anyone seen it?

watched FLCL last night and ep 20 of Fate/Stay Night...FLCL is trippy as hell and made me think "i'm really glad i'm not tripping" for one of those few times in my life I can't wait till F/SN concludes; the ride's been great but I know something epic is right around the corner so it's hard to be patient.

I'm watching One Piece... no not on TV, not that raped 4Kids version. I've broken down and I'm watching it through the net... *sighs* I honestly would buy the DVDs if they had released them as the uncut version but... well to me the cut version of One Piece is no better than buying bootleg.

But yeah... at the moment I'm upto episode 36... *cries*........ nevermind, it's very moving and tragic at the moment...

i cried during a certain ep of rozen maiden (no spoilers tho!) and still can't watch it without bawling, so don't feel TOO girly, boys.

i started cowboy bebop and watched the first 7 eps of ouran high school host club last night...i loved ohshc, it's frantic and funny as hell with a fantastic ED theme. (listening to it now actually). cowboy bebop seems like it has a lot of potential, but from just the first ep it reminds me a bit too much of Firefly and Serenity (though if i'd seen them in reverse i probably would have said ff/s remind me of cowboy bebop...)

unfortunately i don't have much time to watch anything left, since i leave for two weeks in georgia on wednesday morning...

I'm starting to realise how much fansubs suck... jeez, choose a language and stick with it will ya! I mean I can understand why you don't wanna translate attack names, but jeebus, if you're gonna go for a normal sentance, don't stick a japanese word in the middle of it. And while it's nice that you've got lil explanations of certain words, etc flashing on the screen, IT CAN GET VERY ANNOYING. Why were all those people telling me that fansubs are better? Why? Cause it's free? Come on x.x I mean for the most part they're doing a good job translating and all but there's just way too many inconsistancies in their work.

I am aware that there are many different groups, but I would think that VERY FEW of those groups actually make a decent translation.
