I think people disregard that part, the Mecha's head is a separate little mecha that docks with the large one. 4chan already made a meme out the glasses of Kamina for "Awesome" which certainly shows how much even a zone such as 4chan likes this show.

Me, (when I'm not ripping the heads off people and Aliens) I'm watching Ghost In The Shell movies 1+2, GITS SAC, Love Hina, BGC OVA and Appleseed (the CG version). I would definately say that the CG Appleseed is the Dog's Kahunas of modern anime. Definately the future of anime.

The problem is I lack a competance, mainly in access in finding subs, but I know how to use bit torrent. Thing is I got any thing anime from people at the university on the DC++ network (which is frankly ignored as long as we don't connect outside the university network) and currently i hav up to episode 10 sitting on my external.

I watch the new stuff, problem is that I hate the encoding it might come in.

Having a Mac forces you to employ many means of trying to watch something when you can't get it to play on QuickTime even if you have the Pro version and the plugins, VLC even if you do your best to get the plugins, and MPlayer which does the trick somewhat but I need a better processor.

And MKV format infuriates me to no end. I like AVI becasue there is little hassle with it.

I watch the fansubs for things that will never reach it over hear. But I do buy things when I can afford them. Thin Pak sets annoy me, I preffer the full DVD case.

I buy model kits, and for music and such I go to shops, I personaly am not so trusting yet of the internet with my money.

Truth be told I have limited knowledge of how to torrent, except for the one time I did find a soundtrack I liked.

I'm watching Lucky Star. It's...well...retarded. I don't know how else to put it. I have a bunch of current-running stuff to plow through but Pokemon kinda got in the way and I wasn't too fired up about any of the series I'd started.

@Geass: the problem isn't with MKV itself, as MKV is essentially just a "container" into which different audio and video formats can fit. The problem is what formats people try and cram into the container...you'll find a lot of the files that don't work use the proprietary Real format which--surprise--still won't run properly on anything but a Real player...so if either stream is Real, you're going to experience issues eventually if not right out of the gate. (usually sooner rather than later)

As for buying...why are so many "official" sub translations lower quality than most fansubs? (viz: "future man" in the official Haruhi; "time traveller" in the fansub...which works better?)

I had to work my through Saiyuki after the first season. RELOAD and Gunlock weren't that good and when you reach the end of Gunlock, you'll just be left with a open-ended ending hoping the anime started once again and Sanzo and company continue back to main plot if they resume the anime. Saiyuki the first season wasn't great, but I did enjoy watching, even a couple of manga people didn't mind the addition of the last villian at the end of Saiyuki. After that though, in RELOAD and Gunlock, it's just a complete filler. Neither series add much to overall plot. Just added a enemy or enemies for Sanzo's party to fight.

I would. I watched both and both were terrible. Gunlock wasn't awful, but far from good.

I'm really really into "Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei" right now, even though I can only get my hands on the first two eps(That's all there is at the moment, isn't there?). Umisho seems pretty cool too. I've given up on Naruto cause I started reading the manga. And I don't wanna watch Bleach Fillers(I skipped that whole Bound part). One anime that I watched and confused the goose out of me was "Heroic Age". If anyone is watching that, can you please tell me what is happening, cause I kinda zoned out of the first fifteen or so minutes.

ok now that im in the right area (thanks for the redirect) i havent watched ne more of tyhe noir yet due to even more traveling, i was able to watch the first disk of lunar legacy tsukihime and i think its pretty cool.......took 2 episode to catch on with the jump arounds and all but still pretty kewl. kinda trippy about the whole death and lines and all. and i keep hearing that i should watch elven league (or sumthing like that) so i need to investin more stuff now. i also saw a trailer for the new witchblade series which looks freaking sweet(aside from the unrealistic way clothing sticks to bewbs and teh bewbs in general)

Finally finished NANA, so picked up Zombie Loan and Doujin Work in its stead. Zombie Loan's kinda trashy, in its own entertaining way, and Doujin Work is just hilarious. Gotta love the opening theme.
