Any/all evidence can be used in this. Pretty much any thoughts effect the argument being as I hardly know any difference between the new and old hard suits, other than the old ones look better...

My question to the public is, which suit type is better, the old or the new? I pretty much think the old suits were far better because of the fact that they seemed better at protecting the wearers, and looked to fill the role too. The only downside to my argument is that I have only seen half the series. So I'll ask it.

We already have a discussion thread relaed with everything on discussion on 2040 vs 2032... oh you talking about just the hardsuits in 2040.... This is new.... I liked the 2nd generation Hardsuits on 2040's Buubblegum Crisis, mainly as they feel the most modern to me

The 2nd generation suits in 2040 was an obvious excuse to add in the fanservice for all the horny guys out there lol, but for me I don't really care much about either one since I'm not that all familiar with the technical stuff from their hardsuits. I'd probably say the first generation was the better one overall anyway.

I havnt seen 2032 but where the hardsuits mechanised in that one. Id say the 2040 HSuits because near the end of the series they release the bindings on the suits and can transform them into all sorts of things.

the Suits in Classic had less Armor and Structral Integerity as well as Strength and Speed than their 2040 counterparts, but the Classic suits (untill the '34 upgrades) carried Efective Ranged Weapons as Standrd and had a Host of other Toys that the 2040 Suits just didn't have.

Classic V1 & V2 suits Vs. their 2040 Counterpart, the 2040's are going to take some Hurt Cloasing, but then it's Goodnight, but with MotoSlaves the Classics have the Edge, but the Fight will cost them the MotoSlave.

Classic V3/Crash Vs., Fairly even Mach but most probaly (By the Slimist of Margins, so it depends on who is having a good day) it would go to the 2040 suit, unless you included the MotoSlaves then the V3's would Own the 2040's

ofcause the InnerMetal suits would own everything.

Well, now that I know more about the suits from the other series as well, thanks for that info.

I general, considering I should have said this, but I was asking which of the first/second generation suits from BGC 2040 were better. Personally my favorite suits are the first generation suits in BGC Tokyo 2040, mainly because they looked much more armor-ish than the second generation suits near the end of the series...

1st Gen 2040 are Okay, but they have bitchy power sources, the OVA were surpost to have something like a 50 hour atomic battery or something. We never saw their hardsuit dropping because of lose of Power. they just kept on going and on going.... Etc etc....

Well Sylia dis explain why she limited the Battary Life on the 2040 suits, it was a Safety Feature since the Girls where Whering a Voomer she didn't want them to be traped if the things went Rouge. not a problem with the Classic Mythos (as far as we know)

It's probably best that way for the OVA hardsuits... the 2040 hardsuits felt very cheap that way, they used the time limit to create some pretty cheap plot points.

I like the OVA suits, not cause it's OVA and not 2040, I like em cause they're grittier and combined with the motoroids they make for a much more interesting experience.

The 2040 suits, both 1st and 2nd gen were a little bit too future perfect for me.

I like aspects of all five series of suits, although their seams to be one suit from each Series that I go Blagh over and on others I think OOO! thats cool but the XXXXX kind of drags it down.
