AD Police

Warning: This section contains spoilers.

The Advanced Police, more commonly known as the AD Police, was formed in 2034 by the Japanese government and is funded by the Genom Corporation. The primary objective of this advanced police force is to control VOOMER related crimes. These events occur when VOOMER become rogue or to a lesser extent, when they are tampered with.

The History

At the birth of the AD Police, in 2034, they were considered the elite force in taking out VOOMER related crimes, however over the years their status from being a respected VOOMER crime fighting force has now turned into a public joke. They are almost despised by the public in the way they handle rogue VOOMER situations. They are known to form small armies of troops and heavy weaponry such as explosives to handle a single VOOMER. This excess of force leads to major damage on public and private buildings. Civilians were even arrested for seemingly interfering with the AD Police's operations against the VOOMER threat. The AD Police finally came to an end when the Genom Corporation finally cut their funding to the force at the most critical moment in the year 2040. Rogue VOOMER incidents had climbed greatly and it was that time that the force broke up. The final fight the AD Police ever had was a fight to save its own base, the AD Police tower. The AD Police tower was under siege by supposedly dead rogue VOOMERs that were kept in storage. At that moment, most of the AD Police staff were out on strike, however a few stayed... The VOOMERs in storage were brought back to life by Galatea, who wanted to "play"... In the end, the tower had been transformed, or rather mutated into one huge VOOMER, the few people who were in the tower at the time barely escaped with their lives.

The Headquarters

The AD Police tower is the headquarters for the AD Police. From here the AD Police's dispatchers and operations personnel can monitor all of their forces simultaneously with ease. It is used as a weapons storage area, dispatch and command center, and has a communications array. It was commented that the AD Police had a communications array that was too large for the needs of the AD Police, the array is so huge that it takes up at least 80% of the surface building space of the AD Police tower. This part of the tower is known as the "Totem Pole". The security system for the AD Police tower was designed by the Genom Corporation, the sole producer of VOOMERs. The system was set up in such a way that if there was a terrorist attack and the tower was infiltrated, the system would cut off the tower from the outside, locking the terrorists and the AD Police staff inside the building. With the people locked inside the tower, the AD Police staff could mobilize and take out the terrorist force on its own turf.

The People

The men and women of the AD Police worked hard (with some exceptions) to control VOOMER crimes, they were all very dedicated to their work and to the forces honour. The chief of the AD Police was a former frontline officer by the name of Nicholas Roland. He managed the AD Police in its last days and almost died trying to save the AD Police tower from an army of rogue VOOMERs. The top two frontline officers are Leon McNichol and Daily Wong. These two are the AD Police's best officers, but they don't have the ability to take out VOOMERs affectively compared to what the Knight Sabers can do. Away from the frontlines are the people behind the scenes such as Nene Romanova, Ellise Drake and Charles Sweager. Nene is the AD Polices top programmer and master hacker, while she is mostly very lazy and would rather eat snacks and play computer games, she still does a good job when it comes down to business. She did such a good job that she received an officer of the month award in February, 2040.

The Technology

The AD Police use a variety of heavy artillery and vehicles to control VOOMER crimes. Some noticeable ones are the patrolling AD Police cars, the personal helicopters called Fire-bee's and the heavily armoured K-Suits.

Squad Cars

These police cars have all the usual features common to a normal police car. However, the do have a sleek design and are easily recognised as AD Police cars. These cars seat two officers and are generally used to patrol and monitor areas of Tokyo and to report back to the command center. The AD Police Squad Cars are apparently made by Nissan's special vehicles range, Nismo.

(Fire-Bee) Attack Helicopters

These are tiny one man helicopters that are almost like airborne suits that allow the pilot to patrol the skies of Tokyo with great ease. The Fire-bees are extremely manoeuvrable and are equipped with a single search light and cannon. Because the Fire-bees are so light, they are extremely fragile and can easily be taken out by rogue VOOMERs.

K-11 Armoured Suits

Commonly known as a "K-Suit". This huge armoured suit allows officers to approach a VOOMER and come into extremely close range with it. While the firepower his very high on a K-Suit, they move very slowly and can be knocked over very easily. In one occasion when the AD Police went against the Knight Sabers, many K-Suits were destroyed with little effort by the Knight Sabers... Daily Wong once commented that the Knight Sabers' hardsuits made the K-Suits look like "refugees from the 20th century"...
