Well this isn't the most original thread etiher but I'm sure during the absence of C3F we've been watching and probably heard more anime music. This thread can be where you say what's your favourite anime theme. It can be a present or past song and you don't always have to stick to one.

Currently I'm really into the ending theme of Shuffle! "Innocence", it's a nice guitar ballad type of song and the singing is pretty well done too.

My current favourite anime theme and still is to this day is "Asu He no Namida" (Tears Towards Tomorrow) ending theme from the Onegai Twins series. "Hemisphere" from RahXephon remains a firm second and I recently started liking "Jouhou" from E's Otherwise.

So what are your favourite anime themes? Remember it can be a past or present one.

right now I think I'll probly go with "Kantai Shiki" by Toshihiko Sakahashi from the Gundam Seed Destiny Soundtrack II. As for songs, it's a tossup between "Shinkai no Kodoku" by Kuwashima Houko also from Destiny, or "Feilds of Hope" by Rie Tanaka(Lacus Clyne) from Destiny. I think the latter wins, her voice rocks.

Maybe I like it more because I like the anime so much, but I think the opening theme to Samurai Champloo is very good.

Sora Mimi Cake from Azumanga Daoih, since it cracks me up every time I hear it. I often listen to the Patlabor 2, Noir and Macross Plus soundtracks, which I like too much to pick favourites from. Canta Per Me, Salva Nos, Lullaby - three of my favourite anime songs of all time, especially Lullaby and its Engrish

No favorites, just ones I lie better than others. Some are 'Face' from Heat Guy J, 'Y'know' from BGC2040, 'Imaginary Girl' and 'Toki no Nakade' from AD Police, 'Ai Chuuseishin' from Excel Saga, and 'Through the Night' from Outlaw Star.

Inner Universe owns, as does Lithium Flower. Actually, pretty much all the music from GitS: SAC rules. Can't really go wrong there.

And everything composed by Yuki Kajiura is almost always gold, especially her work on Mai HiME, Noir, .hack, etc. Some of my favorites include Key of the Twilight, Mezame, Salva Nos, Akatsuki no Kuruma, Yasashii Yoake, and many more. She's so guud.

I also like a bunch of themes from not so good series. These include Little Viking's "FUTURE" (Kiddy Grade), the Indigo's "I Do!" (Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi) and KOTOKO's "Second Flight" (Onegai Twins).

Out of all the cheesey music heard in hentai series as of late, Viper GTS's main theme has to be the least cheesey and the best out of them all. Hard metal with a nice japanese vocal, it would be nice to find out who's behind the tunes. My favorite song, althought not a theme (it really should be) has to be Konyawa Hurricane from the original BGC ova. It along with a multitude of BGC tracks introduced me to anime music.

...which sounds surprisingly good. It's wrong in a way, but the chick who sings the English version does have a good voice and the translation is pretty spot on as it goes for lyrical translation.

Melodie from Noir is good, but yeah... <.< Um... the OP for ROD is pretty cool too.

Man... One Piece has some pretty cool tunes... I'm loving A to Z, Shouchi no Suke and Oh Come My Way. And 1, 2, Jango!* sounds hilariously funny XD Same with Dr. Tony Tony Chopper. We Are! and We Are! (Straw Hat version) is really cool too, as well as Memories...

Inner Universe was pretty good, but I liked Rise from the opening of 2nd GIG best from GitS.

Cloud Age Symphony from Last Exile, as well as everything from Fumoffu are among my favorites.

Also, I found myself eventually liking Fake Wing, its the song always playing during .hack//sign.

You just can't escape it, you can try, but sooner or later it'll get you.

The theme for Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence is so cool. I love how they original movies theme is reprised but with a more powerful feel.

Hishoku no Sora from Shakugan no Shana has to be one of my personal all time favorite tracks. This tracks is simply awesome! I can't stop listen to this track and I've lost count how manys times I've listen to it.

Melissa and Indelible Sin (the first opening and ending theme for Fullmetal Alchemist) is starting to get pretty catchy. They're not usually my type of anime music I'd listen to but I gotta admit, it's very catchy to sing along to lol.

It seems like I have new fav ending theme. The Snow Queen's ending theme called Daisuki na Kimi ni sung by Oda Kazumasa, nice slow ballad track that actually suits with the snow theme to be honest and yes there's an anime version of The Snow Queen that came out just last year.

"My Pace", from Bleach. Found the live version knocking around somewhere, it's a great pick-me-up at the end of the day. Also getting back into Yoko Kanno's "Strangers", kinda my summer piece.

jumping in a bit late, but i'd have to agree that bleach has a lot of songs that stick with you. i love younha's houki boshi, and the face that they animated 13 different endings is amazing.

the new ah! my goddess tv series has some nice music as well. there's a very celtic kind of feel to both openings, and i'm definitely digging it. the endings are okay, maybe a bit too sugar-y for me though. definitely depends on your mood, haha.

cowboy bebop had the jazz thing going on, which was awesome as well. BGCrash also had a good opening song.

I've been watching Vandread on TV lately since I don't have much anime with me, and I'm really liking the opening and ending themes to First Stage... I don't care for the themes from Second Stage though.

Houki boshi was really cool. I was fortunate enough to be in boston for a few days recently (read: yesterday) and they have this cool tv network called AZN (for asian americans...I know I laughed really hard when I saw it at first) where I got to see the music video for it. I hadn't watched bleach for awhile by that time, so it brought back a lot of memories...and I kinda want to get into it again....I don't have the recording though!

haha, sweet. i've seen a couple of links to her music videos on youtube and such. did you see her perform it on the popjam show (show, event, thing, something like that ^_^;? people commented a lot on poor form or something, but i still think she's playing and not piano "synching". i haven't really heard any of her other songs though, have you?
