Well when I first learned about this anime, it was when I picked up the Manga verison at my local Anime and Manga Supplier up town. I was unsure of it first, because it seemed to shy away from the usual space exploration stories that you hear about.
But it was a surprise after reading the first vol from Cover to Cover, I found a space story that I could relate to with out the need for Aliens in it. So when I first heard that it had been made into an Anime, I was placing in on preorder as soon as I could. It a change from the usual, but it open up my eyes it brought key issues forward by just being in the background.

The anime is set in the near future and man has began to step forth from the cradle. However lessons are soon learned, when space debries from rocket launchs and space station consruction causes accideants when they collide with Space ships. Man has learned that he must clean up after himself or otherwish he will be destoryed.

In comes the main charcter Hachirota "Hachimaki" Hoshino who we follow as he and Ai Tanabe follow the same plot as to discover relationship between space, humanity, and the individual. Hachimaki struggles throughout the story with his own relationship with space. Meanwhile, the terrorist group, the Space Defence Front's view of humanity's relationship with space is the driving force through much of the story.

Overall I enjoyied the anime with it stunning animation, well worth trying out if you get the chance....

Hmm, I haven't even heard of it. I'll read some more on it and maybe check it out if I see on DVD anywhere...

Should be in been release on Vol 4 here in the UK, mind you I find the manga a better laugh if you got the time.

Well then maybe I'll check out the manga first, I have an easier time finding manga than anime because a local store near my house can order them for me.

There's five Vol's 1,2,3,4.1,4.2 in that order.... I wish there was more....
