I think it's about time we had this thread hehehe. So what's the craziest anime you've ever seen? For me I always thought it'd be Excel Saga...that was until I saw Puni Puni Poemy. It certainly excels further than what Excel Saga did, 10x ruder, faster, crazier and definitely way more perverted. It was just so crazy that I was crazy enough to buy the DVD rofl XD.
P.S. Has the craziest anime you've seen ever made you lose your sanity?

Mine is the same, I don't think anything can surpass Puni Puni Poemy.
Haven't been driven insane yet, but watching 5 episodes of Excel Saga one after another did give me one hell of a headache.

Puni Puni Poemy, 2x2=Shinobuden, Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu are some of the craziest series I can think of off that top of my head. Completely wacky, off the wall, irreverent... PPP is probably the most perverted, 2x2 one of the best laughs, and Guu is just hilarious (especially since it has three series in total) I don't know if they're responsible for me losing my sanity, or my inability to hold onto things for long ^^
Just because it's in the thesaurus doesn't mean it's a good idea.
And why isn't 'dethesaurisation' in the dictionary?

Give it up, Lynk, FLCL is totally nuts. A vespa-riding alien beans a teenage kid on the head with a bass and a robot appears from the bump? His pyromaniac friend? The giant iron over the town.
That's one more series I need to watch again. So much anime, so little time

I get confused with the simplest typos sometimes, this wasn't a typo though, Damatee didn't put all the " ' " on purpose *shakes fist at him*

2x2=Shinobuden, Blue? You're like the first person I know on the net has watched that series. I watched that entire series before. It was so random, but funny at the same time. Different style of artwork was pretty cool, too. Lol, Onsokumaru has to be one of funniest anime characters I've encounter to date.

If you have a DVD-Rom or burner on your comp and have PowerDVD, you should try watching animes at 0.5 speed XD. It's like the characters are all zombies talking like they're braindead or if you want to experience an even wackier way of watching anime, play those weird animes at 2x speed. I might even try that with my Puni Puni Poemi DVD rofl. I'm already laughing so hard at the 0.5 speed when watching Tsukihime lol.

The theme music alone is wackier than most anime. The episodes are little nuggets of weirdness, yet it has an almost scary dark side that peeks out every now and again. Take for example the episode about the magic crayon.
"Sanity is the playground of the unimaginative..."
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is delightfully odd, and the out of order episode list contributes alot to that.(after 7 1/2 hours straight my brain has broken)

Well to be imaginative you might have to think outside the boundrys of the normal mind or things and weird is not normal therefore imaginative things can be weird XD
Anyway the strangest anime ive seen is Excel Saga. The episode with the giant machine and the DBZ afro parodie with Pedro was funny lol
