Pokémon Trainer

No way! The Pokémon Trainer has finally arrived. And it looks like he doesn’t do his fighting directly.

Instead, he uses the three Pokémon with him—Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard—to do the fighting for him.

Pokémon change!

Is... Is he issuing commands?!

He needs to use his three Pokémon to fight. So the only ones who fight directly are the Pokémon.

I guess you could say using this character is like playing three for the price of one!

And the Pokémon Trainer uses a special move called Pokémon Change to switch between them.

The returning Pokémon tags the next Pokémon.



Charizard! I choose you!

They swap out in a set order: Squirtle→Ivysaur→Charizard..

They all share the same damage meter, so they don’t recover from damage during Pokémon Change. But they also have another stat, which you might call stamina.

If you keep fighting with the same Pokémon, or if you change them out too often, it’s not so good for the Pokémon.

If you want to be a good Pokémon Trainer, you’ll need to learn these kinds of ins and outs.

LOL, I love how different they're making the new characters for Brawl XD ...I'm guessing that you'll be able to change the Trainer's appearance from male to female at least, or they could go all out and make it so you can select to look like any of the playable characters that have appeared in the GBA games.

I dunno I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't change his appearance. But its a cool idea anyway and a nice addition.

Might take some more mastering to use that character well =P
The pokemon go up in evolution level in the circle =P XD

Charizard

B = Flamethrower
B left/right = Dragon Claw
B up = Seismic Toss


Ivysaur

B = Solarbeam or Razor Leaf
B left/right = Vine Whip
B up = I have no idea lol

Squirtle

B = Bubblebeam
B left/right = Watergun
B up = Hydro Pump (in the anime squirtle withdraws into his shell and does Hydro Pump. It'll kinda be like Link's spin attack)

One of my friends thinks that Snake seems "a little out of place" by being in Brawl.

Here's what he said in one of his youtube comments:

I feel he looks out of place

Snake = Serious
Smash Bros = Comedy/cartoony/wacky

Snake + Brawl = wtf?

And, to be honest, I kind of agree with him.

Just cause it's Nintendo, doesn't mean it's all wacky and stupid. Your friend knows nothing and should actually play these games before talking about it as if he knows all about them.

That specific image is fake, you can tell by the shadows around Bowser and the bottom row. But Wolf could very well be in it. I'm hoping Krystal is the last character though

So, any member pick up the game yet? I want to try out playing online. I'm currently just playing Adventure mode, about 50% through that, but I want to play regular matches since those are much more fun.
