I'm generally alternating between CoD 4, Halo 3 and mass effect.

been playing Timeshift as well... not bad, but it takes a while to figure out how to use the time controls to get you past certain areas,

And stopping time and stealing an enemies gun is fun... one minute they are firing at you... the next they are like "what the, wheres my gun!"

I may be getting Gears of War. my sister asked me what i wanted for my birthday, and i figured, what the hell i'll ask for that. i got a few people on my friends list that play it. if i don't get it i won't be disappointed, turok is coming out in 2 weeks anyway.

I finished Super Luigi Galaxy a couple nights ago and I'm working on recipes in Super Paper Mario XD I started Tomb Raider Anniversary last night...I like it, but I'm still clumsy with the controls. The animation seem a bit choppy and the load times are pretty lengthy, though it has a lot of promise and some of the rendering is stunning.

I'm currently rotating between Super Mario Galaxy, which I can honestly say is the most fun I've had with a game since Sly Cooper 2 the year I graduated from animation school. And Burnout Paradise which outside of a few weak choices on the soundtrack is an absolute blast.

gah...out of cash and turok is out. damn it. -_- wish the roads weren't icy so i could make a phone call to the junk yard and get money for my yellow ranger. in the meantime...will play oblivion some more.

Not sure, I haven't played anything except story mode. I assume it has the same features that the Xbox 360 version has.

Been playing a little bit more of Tomb Raider for Wii...I'm not really very into it =( as it really seems to test the limits of my patience. One thing they definitely ported in from the original version is the amount of frustration necessary to finish the levels XD

I've also been playing Pokemon Leaf Green on my DS XD Just got the second badge and am trying to evolve my pikachu =D

Yes, with the PSP version having a couple of added features, such as the fight against the heroes from Disgaea 2 and Etna storyline mode. Other than that, the games are exactly the same.

But it actually reminds me of Golden Sun, which I'm impatiently waiting for a part 3.) But thanks, Eva. You made me really glad that I bought the PSP version of Disgaea. Do you think they'll make Disgaea 2 for the PSP also?

It's not much of a spoiler since fighting them got nothing to do with the main plot. It's just the typical cameo fight you can have in a NIS title.

So far Turok is pretty good. I do miss the 'lost land' feel to it that the other ones had, this one feels like a mix of Turok Evolution and Turok Dinosaur Hunter. It feels like Turok Evolution because it is pretty linear, no save anywhere parts either. It feels like Turok Dinosaur Hunter because it has TONS of dinosaurs in it. (probably more than all the turok games combined) the only thing is, not really that much of a variety.....so far i've seen Velociraptors, a mini-velociraptor thing, Parasauralophus, Compsognathus, Dilophosaurus, Tyrannasaurus Rex, a crocodile-type dinosaur with squirrel-like abilities, a spitting thing that resembles a spinosaurus (not as big as one)....

so i would say there's definietely a better dinosaur presence in this Turok than the others. Though, i do miss the dinosoids and bionosaurs.

btw, the Tek Bow kicks ass.

edit: Nearly beat the game. I'm close...will probably finish it tomorrow night after work. got into a little multiplayer, it's pretty fun. once i beat this on hard, i unlock inhuman difficulty, and i'll start working on that. I got to try out several weapons...the minigun, rpg launcher, sniper rifle, and flame thrower. flame thrower kicks ass.

Whats the point of tremulous?

tremulous is a good game, sort of like natural selection, mixing FPS and RTS genres, but is difficult to learn and some players can be real jackasses.

Got any other free game suggestions?

opensource games I have played and liked:
(for Total Annihilation lovers) spring , but since is still under development is a REAL pain to set up, you need to install the spring engine, then the game content (be it TA's or other) and install an AI for play offline or yet another program for play online. On windows it should be easier though. it looks neat anyway screenshots

warsow a fastpaced FPS, it focus on movement, so you can wall jump, dash, etc, etc and etc. The cel shared artwork is nice.

and nethack.. a legendary RPG game with text graphics permanent death is annoying

I beat Turok when i got home from work today. Cliche last boss, really.

I'm playing on Inhuman difficulty since that is what beating the game on hard unlocks (besides achievements). That difficulty is more my speed. Wish i could've just skipped hard and played on inhuman, the game would have been a more enjoyable experience...wouldn't have seemed so short!

Multiplayer takes alot to get used to, especially after experiencing non-lagging games such as Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3. a little disappointing. the knife kills in multiplayer are cool though. I'm glad I bought this game for the single player portion anyway, as that is where the fun really is. (unless you have a bunch of people on your friends list that have the game) The story isn't anything like the comics or anything, though it does have a kind of nice twist near the end that makes you think. Like Kane's plan of 'evolving' a planet to get a sample of a biotoxin thing that kills life and leaves zero evidence of where it came from

there are 4 cooperative levels, i've tried one, it's pretty tough....that's where you need people on your friends list to have the game.

The weapons in the game are boring when compared to the previous turoks, i mean come on....nothing new besides the knife kills, and dino luring, the dinosaur luring only works outside...as not many dinosaurs are indoors. the RPG launcher was a joke, where's our nuke and cerebral bore, what about the chronosceptor? Oh well, i am not complaining, they are planning a sequel, so it may tie in with the comics, i don't know. i was kind of hoping they'd bring in something, anything, from the originals besides the name and a native american protagonist. =\ oh and having the same boss twice, brought me flashbacks of donkey kong country...Tyrannosaurus Rex got old the first time i saw it...lol
