I've been watching Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid and it's really good. Everything from the animation and voice acting to the storyline has kept me hooked on it.
I'd recommend that anyone who hasn't seen this anime yet should check it out.
I had high expectations of this after I enjoyed watching the original FMP and the hilarious Fumoffu spin-off but somehow it disappointed me as I got into the later episodes. I don't know what was wrong with it but I ended up losing interest in the plot that I gave up on the series by episode 8.
Sure it had action and battles, but it just didn't hold anything interesting to keep me watching it. There were a few notable scenes and laughs I had such as the insane villain singing "ave maria" in the middle of a gun battle and one of the twins (or was it sisters?) slitting a soldiers throat, shooting another soldier using his own gun and throwing the knife into another soldier's head. All in the space of 3-5 seconds.
Other than those, FMP: TSR was disappointment in my eyes.
I enjoyed FMP and FMP fumoffu, i have yet to see the second raid yet however
TSR Focusses more on relationships more than Mecha battles and it leaves some plot holes behind
Agreed.
I've now seen all 4 volumes of FMP TSR and, overall, I would give this series a 7/10. It's good, but not great.
