When your father could have been the one who ate ur mother for dinner, only a group of half human/half yoma(monster) female warriors given the name Claymore could find those monsters from normal human and destory them. . During one of her countess missions, a lowly ranked Claymore name Clare mets a young boy named Raki, who lost his family to a yoma. After seeing herself in the young boy, Clare decided to take him with her and during their travel through towns and cities, met friends and foes, the two became attached like sibings or lovers and well this bond last forever...

I figure one or two people having been watching this anime here. So, decided to make a topic and see if a discussion could form. I've been watching Claymore myself since the first week it's been released. I started off slowly, but I got into the anime after the Teresa arc ended, I enjoyed that arc. The anime very good, but I feel there's a huge power difference between Clare and the enemy and all of a sudden it's gone short while later.

I'm up to date with the anime, which I believe would be on episode 15 or 16. No bother recaping the episode since if you watched it, you know what happen. I'll talk about the anime further if I know other people have watched the anime here. No point talking to myself.

At the club in my university, the show was received lukewarm. This seems something more of a very pure fantasy mysticism show, with no delving in to the screaming raging sword battles. it seemed interesting but the 1st episode could not hold me very well, and it was not really up my alley.

Sadly all I could think of Claymore is NOIR with swords and a lot of dead moments with sudden random action, just not executed properly with timing.

Claymore amused me, because when my friend saw it his first comment was "OMG that's a REAL claymore she's carrying!" The facial designs took a little getting used to, but now I really like the art style. Teresa-arc = feckin awesome. And now that Clare's shed her little lap dog to concentrate on improving her fighting I'm really enjoying it.

I'm not big with just about every enemy and ally being of one gender, whether it be male or female. Not sure why that's even a factor, but I like a balance. More male enemies are appearing, but no male ally worth a lick appeared. I just finished watching 17. I'll comment on it when I know another person's watched it.

I agree. I'm glad Raki gone. I hope he got eaten by a demon. No more Raki would be a great!

Once again, yet another ridiculous power gap appear between Clare and the enemy as she just got completely out classed by a Dweller. I wonder how she'll cover that gap before going to north to face off against the Dweller that's lurking there.
