OK we're anime fans (or at least I think we are) so it wouldn't be surprising if we had some (or tons) of anime posters or wallscrolls. I'll get straight to the point, what anime posters/wallscrolls do you have at home?

My list

Full Metal Panic! (Stuck it onto the front of my bedroom door)
GANTZ (Also stuck onto the front of my bedroom door below the FMP poster)

Unused Posters (These posters I got for free from Madman at Manifest convention, most were double-sided)

Dragon Ball Z - Vegeta Saga 1 (This is the backside of Cromartie High School's Poster)
Ghost In The Shell - Special Edition
Ikki Tousen (Backside of Ghost In The Shell's poster)
Madlax
My Neighbours The Yamada's (Studio Ghibli)
Pom Poko (Also Studio Ghibli and the backside of My Neighbours The Yamada's)
Pom Poko Poster #2 (This one is a huge blockmount poster with nothing on the back)
Scrapped Princess (The backside of the Madlax poster)

I ended up getting doubles of the unused posters since they were double sided. The FMP poster I got was bought at Manifest in 2003 for like 1 or 2 dollars while the GANTZ poster was part of the free posters Madman were giving out in 2005, too bad I didn't get a second copy of that poster since my friend wanted it lol.

The Samurai X wallscroll was one that I waited a long time to get my hands on since it ran out last time when I was going to buy it (it cost me $22AU). I was lucky to get a free huge blockmount poster of Pom Poko (Pom Poko Poster #2) as it wasn't part of the free posters from Madman but from one of the Manifest committees who were sitting in the dealers room. I was walking by with my friends when they asked us if we wanted some free posters XD.

So you can see, not much in my collection but I hope Madman will give out more free posters at Manifest this year. I want to get the RahXephon poster that Madman gave out to retailers like JB Hi-Fi (which I saw they stuck up) and Getbackers lol. I also wanted to buy this Samurai Champloo wallscroll that a number of vendors were selling at Manifest but alas I didn't have enough money left seeing that I already bought a Samurai X wallscroll and 2 anime albums (His & Her Circumstances Act 1.0 & Chobits Character Song Collection). I guess I'll probably get that Champloo wallscroll at this year's Manifest if the vendors have it.

I don't have any posters either. I have 2 walls where windows take up most of the space, another is taken up with my DVD shelves and dresser, and the other wall has my closet and TV. There isn't much room in between either.

I only buy posters and Wall-scrolls if I have wallspace for them. Any posters I store away get messed up.

But I have a Sesshoumaru wall-scroll, a Gundam 0083 one, a NGE one and a Luis Royo one(currently overlayed on my NGE one).

I my computer room, I got a LAIN and a GHOST IN THE SHELL Poster.

About the only thing i have in my bed room in a Tenjo Tengie Wall Scroll of Eya.
I got this really cool poster that was release as some US anime convention called a Cast Of Thousands. It this post will at least a 1 thousand anime a characters from 1970 to 1995. When I move out again, I look forward to hanging it up again when I move out in a few months time. As you can just look at it for hours and still not identify all the character in there.

I got a lot of unused ones as I don't have the wall space. Plus I make a habbit of not making myself look too much like a geek.
Sorry if I sound blunt there, but I spent the last 3 1/2 years living with a Otaku/Transfan. And sitting on the crapper while you got this picture of Vegeta from DBZ staring back at you just got to me after a while. So did the mountin of transformers toys.

Over all, you can have too much of a good thing. After putting up with one how where we had a spirited away wall scroll in the kitchen just because it was vacant wall, i desided that the second house would have some non-anime territories. I got sick and tired of having my fandom or (worst still) my flatmate over excessive fandom reduce my chances of getting laid. There is too much of a good thing. And throwing out a pack of comdoms is because they have passed their used by date is rather depressing.

Heres some thing that I learnt on the radio once. Girls have this thing called the BLUTAK TEST. It where the chances of you having sex that night is purely pre-determined on how many anime/manga/comic book/cartroon posters you have on your walls (and some times roof) and the likelihood of her wanting to have sex in that vary same room.

My last house mate was telling me that he was getting in on with a girl in bed one night. She accidently bumps one of his transformers toys over. And it was "Oh Yes.... Oh Yes... Ooh Yes... OOH MY GOD! Not my Near Mint Condition Generation 1 Megatron!!!!!!"


Moral of the story is this..... you want a girl friend, do not wall paper your room with anime poster. Last thing see want to see she is a picture of Vegeta's Consipated Face when she about to climax.

Well it's kind of a different story to me. I had a girl (who I knew for a few months and hanged out with a few times) came over to my house (and I swear she WANTED to come over to my house in the first place after phoning me, it's true!) since she was curious. She immediately knew which room was mine seeing my FMP and GANTZ posters but overall she wasn't really that shocked or fazed by all the anime stuff in my room. I guess maybe because I didn't have alot of posters stuck up or wallscrolls but I did show her my unused posters. The difference is that she too is kinda into anime so it's not surprising with her reaction.

However the funny thing is that she brought the "American Pie" movie with her to my house XD and I was like "uhhh....ok..." but we did watch it in the end

Anywayz, moving back on topic... I really would love posters and wallscrolls, but like OSTs they're hard to come by and I hate shopping on the net... :\ An anime fan who won't shop on the net is doomed to miss out on a few things.

That's why you should attend anime conventions, the anime heaven where you'll be able to find OST's and many posters and wallscrolls.

I have no anime posters either... My walls are already covered with posters from Star Wars, LotR, and sports stuff. Though I probably need to get some new ones, I've had some of those up for a very long time.

Just bought another 2 posters (both double-sided) lol. RahXephon/Arjuna and Onegai Twins/Saiyuki. I think I'm beginning to start an anime poster addiction XD.

madman was kind enough to send my anime club some free stuff (posters, promo dvd's, anime update mags) in the madness of free pocky (supplied from the president of the club...what a nice guy), free posters, free dvd's and free mags i managed to grab one of each poster, an anime update mag and ate aprox 13 sticks of pocky. choc-banana, choclate, and strawberry flavoured. that stuff is great

anyway i ended up with:

Robotech Remasterd / Gantz
Pom Poko / My Neighbours the yamadas
ghost in the shell remasterd / ikki tousen
madlax / scrapped princess
appleseed / 1960's Astroboy

and i took down some of the other stuff i've had up since 2003 to make room for it all.

Which anime club are you in? Cos I used to be with MAS until my membership expired, and also partly because I didn't really know anyone in that club and the majority of them seem pretty snobby and arrogant.

I'm currently with 3WA (WWWA - and actaully been with that club for nearly 3 years now) and the people there are alot better, friendlier and more easy to communicate with. I think they also play a big role in organising Manifest as well.

ahh, i'm with the Hunter Anime Club, a small club about 40mins out of Newcastle, NSW.

it's the only anime club i've ever known, because i could never get to the one at Newcastle University.

i've attended every single meeting since it started and have made some good freinds there too.

more members would be nice tho, we have less than 20, about 4 - 8 actully show up.

hehe well I'm in Melbourne and there's a number of anime clubs around, not sure if they get alot of free stuff like your club does from Madman but they pretty much have around a couple of hundred of members.
