That sucks, Lynk. I wish you were watching the other fan-sub, but I know you like the quality of their videos and subtitle by that group.

I want to discuss the series, but nobody to discuss it with since it's getting good.

I've read up to one-hundred and fifty in a fan-translated version of the manga, but I have yet to see any of the anime.

It's really cool. Before, when I had only heard about it, I really thought it was going to be terrible, I hate to admit it. But it really is sweet.

Well the version 4Kids is releasing has been cut up and raped which is why I refuse to watch the english version. The reason those cuts were made in the english version were because some of the edits 4Kids had made demanded they cut full episodes as well as trying to get rid of all of the unnecessary filler episodes... which IMHO aren't unnecessary no matter what anyone says.

whee! somebody who finally agrees with me that filler eps are a waste of time. I do have to admit, this is one of my biggest turn-offs to long-running series such as Naruto, One Peice and the like.

I have poor timing and miss most anime on TV these days, so I really couldnt say if it's got more or less than another series. Inuyasha had about 40, from episode 50something to around 90ish.

One Piece is not that bad when it came to fillers. Nothing can top the garbage Naruto throwing out there for the past year. Bleach got a filler plot and One Piece put fillers here and there, which would be the best course if you're series long running and you're bound to catch up to manga.

Never understood why people hated them. If you didn't like them, just skip them and consider the anime on hiatus until the main plot begins once again. That's what I'm doing with Naruto myself.

I don't think every show needs fillers, what I'm saying is that I like shows to be different, some with fillers, some without, some being very short, some being very long, some being in the middle, some going backwards... whatever, I don't care as long as they're different.

So many episodes of this show. If I started it now I would have no end! But I really REALLY want to watch it! Just that simple problem of getting addicted to the series where I'd have to go and spend tons of money to get caught up. Is it worth it? I did catch a small scene and the animation was a bit...errrr...disturbing. Kinda like Lupin the 3rd stuff. Maybe it's just me getting use to all the newer animes I can't fall back to the old ones anymore.

Whats One Piece about? (forgive me if someone already gave the plot earlier in this topic...but I don't wanna read from beginning to end. I'm the lazy guy on this forum).

You'll really get into One Piece once you begin Nami's past in the plot. That's when I started getting into the series myself.

Well, I'm just about to hit episode 300 of One Piece, can you believe it's got that many episodes?! Man, it's getting excited Zoro and Kaku battle about to end. While Luffy and Lucci battle is about to seriously begin. I can safely say this got to be one of my favorite arc since Baroque Works arc. Still, I mainly got totally into the series after Nami arc, one of my favorite arc in an anime.

I do need to get around to watching all the movies, TV specials and OAV at some point, but I'm lazy. Plus, watching the earlier movies without Robin and Chopper. Man, I totally love Chopper for what he did in the CP9.

I'm stuck waiting for 218 to be released over at Kaizoku-fansubs... I prefer to stick with one group. Changing now would be awkward because of the style changes of the translation.

I know a few people that stick with that group. They're just too far behind for my taste. I like weekly release since I'm just dying to know what's going to happen in the series. Also, I don't care too much about video quality or subtitle quality, unless they're just awful. A new group called VegaPunk doing the series and release a episode a week. So, I'm all set at the moment.

I bet some of the members here will be happy to hear that Funimation has acquired the license to release One Piece in the original UNCUT form with a new English dub.

Maybe Madman will finally have the chance to release the uncut version in Australia now.

I'm sure this great news to collector of DVD will get the un-cut One Piece. The same censored One Piece will air on TV though. Not much you can do about America being far too censored for it's own good. Still, I wonder how these new voice actor cast will sound like. I hope they bring back the normal opening for TV. Not a fan of that One Piece rap.

I'm guessing One Piece is gonna get the same kind of treatment Dragonball Z went through. A cut version for TV which goes along with what was shown so far, complete with altered opening and closing tracks... and then you have the complete and uncut DVD versions that have nothing cut and even have entire different lines and scenes that you don't see on the TV version XD

Well that's simple compared to turning an entire whale into an iceburg and reanimating entire scenes. Turning a woman into a man and cutting off characters heads and putting them onto other characters, etc, etc...
