It's one of the best endings to an anime series I've seen, it has one of the best English dub casts ever assembled and it's just so damn cool. I love how we're thrown into our own history, of course it's still heavily fiction, but still, I love it when people do stuff like this and do it well. I loved seeing a movie that ended the series but told its own unique story. I loved the fact that I showed this movie to my nieces and nephew and they got hooked on it and wanted to watch the series.
Who loved it too?

I loved it, and I'll Admit it, I got a little bit teary eyed at the end the first time I watched it, but all and all,

I hope there is no sequel. It's great the way it is.

Sorry Lynk. You and I both know that the almighty $$$$ will win out here.
Heck, if they are bleeding Eva for three more movies, you know they'll go back and do another FMA movie... or four. XP

Sounds awesome, I gotta check it out!

I thought it was okay... It gracefully concluded the story of FMA. It was also fun seeing what happened to some of the characters after the series ended. Good movie, I highly recommend it

Nah... With the gates sealed at the end of the movie, I find it hard to imagine what they might show supposing another FMA movie were to come out. After all, Full Metal Alchemist without the alchemy makes no sense whatsoever...
QUESTIONS TO PONDER:
1) Are we really who we think we are?
2) Is time really constant?
3) Is death really the end?
4) Can I kill you?

Great movie which you don't really need to watch the entire TV series to understand (I've only seen the episodes on the DVD from 3 limited edition tins I bought lol) though Lynk says watching it will make you enjoy the film even more lol. I felt the ending was kinda bittersweet, especially for Winry since she'll never see Al & Ed anymore despite the two brothers finally being able to reunite. Also I felt that Noah's character wasn't explained very well about her knowledge of the alchemy world since she was on the real world and there really wasn't any information to how she came about it.
For some reason, I felt Eckhart (the female villain from the reality side if I recall correctly) was kinda like Lust XD, maybe it was just the english dub voice actress that sounded like the one who did Lust (or maybe it was the same one?). Music-wise, I enjoyed the soundtrack overall as they depict the feel and state of Germany was in at the time. There was also the Gypsy song "Let's Dance" sung in the early part of the film that I liked for some reason XD, kinda dancy feel to it, and then there's the ending song "Lost Heaven" by L'arc-en-ciel. I haven't heard much of their music and I'm not usually into their genre but that track sounded like a great way to end the film with the credits rolling. It's kinda disappointing that it doesn't appear on the movie soundtrack though which I'll be getting soon, and I don't wanna buy their album "Wild Flower" just for that track (I guess there's always the net XD).
Again, great movie to watch. As for a sequel happening, I don't really mind if there is or isn't one as I've still got the TV series to get through lol.

I'll comment more about this later but for now... guess who played Eckhart. It was Kelly Manison

I just rented FMA-Conqueror of Shamballa last night. Man, that was
a spectacular movie! I loved the moment where Eckhart was going through the gate and all that black stuff (whatever it was) was covering her and she was smiling? I personally thought that her laugh made it sound like she was having orgasm. "I'm covered in black shit! HA HA HA HA!" XD

yeah i bought it the other night and seen it too
i'm like holy shit and giddy all over! XD
although. interesting on a few things tho...
whats with envy? did he lose his/it's ability to transform altogether?
and note how its convienant how the one body of armour that alphonse possesses is the same type that he was soul bounded to :P (you know that was only for the fans )
'could think of a few more, but meh. D:

Yeah, I also didn't get why Envy turned into a dragon. Plus, what happened to Envy at the end of the movie? I didn't catch that part...

Ed and Al just said they would do all they can to close it from our end. But yeah, the fact that it has entered our world has limited them greatly in what they can do.

Yeah, I liked how not ever end was tied neatly with a happy little bow. Also, Noah knew about the Alchemy world through Ed, everything she knows she took from Ed's memories... Remember? XD

Lust was in it but didn't talk. She appeared at the very end with Scar on the real world side, and like I said before, Eckhart was played by Kelly Manison. And yeah, I love the soundtrack music, Kelas, Lost Heaven and Link. Btw, Lost Heaven and Link appears on the opening/ending single for the movie.

It was done so damn well XD (The English version) Kelly Manison rocks! It's the laugh they used in the trailer, which btw, I love watching cause it's done so well. I like how the laugh matches up with the tempo of the music and the way they just cut it in XD lol

And I loved that scene when Al is fighting along side "his" armour I also love the scene when the armour with Al's piece of soul in it ends up on the other side of the gate and meets up with Ed XD That was such a damn good moment.
Falcon_06 Wrote:Yeah, I also didn't get why Envy turned into a dragon. Plus, what happened to Envy at the end of the movie? I didn't catch that part... Hoenheim used Envy as transmutation material to open a permanent gate for Ed to use to cross back to his world.
