For those who didn't know, production is currently underway for a 2nd Appleseed movie and a TV series. There's an article that discusses these at the "Shirowledge" website here:

Appleseed was one of the first anime manga's translated over here in the US and I began collecting it as soon as the translations started. Personally I view the TV series as the best format to convey all the little things Shirow put into this anime and can't wait to see what the finished product will look like in a year or two. Big Grin
