Wow! I'm surprised about this, never would've thought there'd be an anime adaptation of the classic Shakespeare play. I guess it shouldn't that surprising though since they already made "Gankutsuou" that was loosely based on The Count Of Monte Cristo. The changes made in this Romeo x Juliet anime should be very interesting as I'm already curious to see this.

This makes me wonder if there's any other plays that can have a transition to anime. Macbeth sounds like it'd be pretty good.
