A good first anime would perferably be a moderate-show, with less than excessive animeisim. And probly within the 26 episode limit. Alot of good shows come to mind, none of them really right for a first anime. mmmm, well, Those Who Hunt Elves is funny, sorta serious, a little racy, but no nudity and not alot of violence. Last Exile isnt a bad choice either.

Steam Boy isnt too bad as far as movies go.
