Just Youtubed the OP and ED. Wow, both great songs from Kotoko (as usual). If Kotoko has ever done a bad song, I haven't heard it. She's awesome! I think I might like the ED song a little better than the OP this time around though. But its picking between a 9 or an 8.5 on the analog digital music scale. XD

Try checking Hayate the Combat Butler. Not a bad theme, but I did not consider the theme that great. If you haven't yet, check out BALDR FORCE EXE Resolution and Kannaduki no Miko. KOTOKO did just about every theme song for Kannaduki no Miko.

Episode 20 should be out by now. I'm still keeping up with this series although I've only watched up to 18 so far. The new opening and ending themes are rather unusual for me and kinda hard to listen to. It took me a while to get into "Joint" when I first heard it but I'm really digging "Triangle" at the moment and would say that's my favourite ending theme for the Shana series so far although "Aka no Seijaku" from season 1 is pretty close.

You're right where I am, darktruth. I like watching my series in bulk. I'm waiting for more episodes to be released. Yeah, unlike the first season, I had to get use to the opening and ending themes from second season before I liked them.

Wow. I haven't even managed to watch the last episode yet (only have up to ep 23 at the moment) but reading that gives me the impression the finale will end with a cliffhanger or something. How long is the final episode anyway? I read the announcement at the end of ep 23 where it said something like ep 24 will air from midnight up to 12:55am.

Oh, my order of the "Blaze" CD single with the DVD was shipped today! yay! Yes, I've finally started to dig that song for some reason. It's strange how all the opening theme for Shana except for "Hishoku no Sora" took a while to grow on me.

You bet it is. I dont recall how long but i thinks it's more or less 23 min.

I just had to take a pic of all my Shana stuff so far XD. I gotta say that I wasn't too impressed with the ending for the second season, felt it was rushed regarding the whole resolution to the love triangle but I guess maybe a season 3 might be announced sometime in the future with the way the manga is going.



Also bought these off Yahoo Japan Auctions but haven't requested them to be shipped to me yet.

Dengeki Bunko drama CD of Shana before it was made into an anime series, had a different voice cast.



Shana II special anime drama CD. Not sure what this contains but it's not available to be purchased from any online stores as I think it may have been a radio promotional disc or sampler of the audio drama tracks off the Splendide Shana CD's.

Just finished season 2.

Season 2 was quite disappointing. To sum my thoughts on season 2 in one sentence it would be "It was like a terrible romance anime." Shana and Kazumi fighting over Yuuji, then becoming close friends? Yeah, it become quite "cheesy" not to mention lack of enemies. At the end of the season, nothing is finished and the final battle produce nothing. Oh, suppose the obvious choice of Shana by Yuuji would be consider the saving grace of season 2, but this season was a major disappointment from season 1. Considering what happen in Season 2, Yuuji might have not even made his decision and the ending was just teasing you.

I can't wait for season 3. Likely in the later part of 2009.

I've finally found out some information on the special drama cd of Shana II below after receiving and listening to it.



It seems that this was a special extra item for the April 2008 issue of Animage.

The story is a lighthearted one where Shana and Wilhelmina are shopping at a shopping mall and Shana finds a lost little boy looking for his mother. There's some funny parts in it where Shana is helping the little boy find his mom while also playing and keeping him company. She doesn't know that Wilhelmina, Yuji, Yoshida and the others are following her around despite telling Wilhelmina she doesn't need her help.

There's a funny bit where the little boy plays with a love match-making game. He tells her Yoshida's love compatibility with Yuji was 80% so she decides to test her own love-match and got just 3% XD.
