I was talking about this with Leon on msn... it's no wonder really, DVDs in the UK cost so damn much and most people import or simply download fansubs anyway. The company who holds the ADV name over in the UK is probably having quite a bit of trouble keeping things afloat, and let's not forget the fact that they also distribute Geneon DVDs as well. Geneon USA is gone now so that's also a very big reason for this.
You've read it! You can't unread it!
It seems pretty safe to say that the DVD anime industry in the US is really suffering right now. However, manga sales is an entirely different story. Sort of like a market correction since Japanese anime sales are usually dominated by manga first and foremost as well.

I dont have a proper a DVD player maybe i could get one XD
*yawn* Adv will be making an announcement at the end of feb, to say what's going on, though personally dvds here are only expensive when it comes to adv dvds.
Lets just hope, something happens and it picks up again here in the uk, because although they are expensive if adv stop dvds here all together the amount of anime we see will be greatly reduced.
Well i have quite a bit of anime to watch anyway maybe XP
Maybe next time its my bday i could ask for a DVD player then region unlock it XD
