The stream was stopping every minute to buffer, so after 10 minutes I did a search and found a subbed version on the torrents. This series didnt grab me at all.
Not impressed, Gonna give this on a miss.
That's why you pause at the start and wait for the entire thing to load XD At least that's what I did. Bottom line is that it was legitimately free.

Personaly it looked like an interesting concept, the art style looks like the Kikaider, as well as Cyborg 009, but I think the series taht explored the possibility of the cold war not ending would have bene FMP!
Not sure that I would stick aorund to see how the Missle stand off of our time would develope afater 125 years later, but I think I would need to see subs.
I personaly am not a fan of watching actual real word equipment especialy the shuttle in the first episode, placed in to animation unless it fits it, becasue it looks very odd next to the characters themselves becasue you have a xerox copy of a shuttle next to a funny looking character. Its like a Chibi Gundam next to a large battle ship.
It just looks odd.
I love some of the stylistic features it had though. The whole super spy thing felt very ridiculous, just as it should be XD Then you have whole "every Soviet is ugly" propaganda images and all that kinda jazz lol.

XD It's all meant to be impractical and stupid, they're obviously trying to stuff as many oldskool references into this as possible. The easiest way to recognise it is if you watch all of the older Bond movies.
About the mannequin thing. Think old samurai movies. Blood spurting in all directions when a head or limbs are chopped off. This is carried over into animes and more recent shows coming from Japan. It's kind of the same thing in the way that they're grabbing references from very old movies and shows and putting them into something like this.
Of course, in the end, yeah it is stupid and this anime doesn't interest me at all. But I do understand what they were aiming for with the style of the show whether they seem good or not in terms of our overall taste.
