OOH OOH! QUESTION! On Geass post (#152) with all the bleach shinigami there are two characters that I can never find info on. From the left and the fourth picture in both top and bottom, those two are always together on 4chan. What the hell are their names? I HAVN'T SEEN ENOUGH OF THE SERIES YET TO KNOW!

If I recal reading things correctly, there was a referecne to "Kim, Saudi, Chim sandwich", supposedly with Chim filling in the middle.

From what I recall, they are often paired toghether in pictures, and I found some otuside of 4chan. I suspect they are a fan couple but there is official art about them. I would suspect they are an official couple or partners in the series, with often saucy pictures of them toghether, the lower chracter you indicating being the Uke. They must be new characters introduced later in the series, but I stopped with bleach when Orihime got abilites in book, what, 6, 8?

Bleach was the first series I actually put down and said, OK, everyone is getting powers, WTF? can everyone kill ghosts now?

I realized that Shounen fighting series are not for me, and I have not even looked at bleach ever since except the occasional Tony Taka piece or random fan image I find.

Although, now I discovered I like Kare Kano (His and Her Circumstances) and it might be my first Shoujo Manga I might purchase, considering how I find the anime very funny and straightforward for a girl show.

I discovered the name of the new GAINAX show of the picture I placed. Its called "Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann" and the main female lead character Yoko, is pretty kick-ass. All I can say is that GAINAX picked up some tricks from FLCL in their design and visual style.

Not to draw comparisons, but if you ever seen "Triplets of Bellvile" the illustration style is a very exaggerated style. Since One Piece has many characters going through Super Deformation, you take in consideration that maybe the artists are just forgetting where they started with, or are maturing their characters as they go. Maturing meaning as in physical "Maturing" as well as the character design.

Note the 4th picture as you pointed out, you could call it an exaggerated hourglass figure, while the last one you could call it a matured exaggerated figure.

Figure scale:

Exaggerated figure: Triplets of Bellvile
Realistic exaggerated figure (i.e. Fanservicy): Tenjoh Tenge
Realistic figure: Ghost in the shell or other realistic anime, such as Macross Zero


Then comes style which I think what One Piece fits in that catagory.

I think that's obvious Gaess... but what is your point? I've already said that they may be maturing the character, but the fact is that they have gone too far. Even with the artstyle used, it still looks wrong. But you don't actually get the full scope of it until you see Nami and he breasts animated, especially in one of the later movies where all you really see are Nami and Robins breasts bouncing every which way.

They're turning her into a cheap fanservice character cause she has the least fighting ability.

I think I forgot to put my case in the point. Its exactly what you said in what she is becoming, "Cheap Fanservice"

Sadly, some characters in series become that. Its probably why doujin of specific characters exists, going off the desires of what the fans wanted to see of the characters and in their character developement and involvement with the main story.
