It looks pretty interesting. I enjoyed reading Romeo & Juliet in high school actually so this might be something worth checking out.
My club checked the first two episodes out a little while ago. Its excelent, and they really adapted the original course of the story for anime. It might not seem canon to the paly, but it places a twist on the whole new feudal situation of the capulet and montague relationships. Whats neat is the small liberties they take, actually wants to make me watch it personaly.
I personaly recomend this series myself!

This makes me wonder if there's any other plays that can have a transition to anime. Macbeth sounds like it'd be pretty good.
but they'd have to call it something else or all the raving anime nerds would give it eternal bad luck.
Still, many anime's are already the basic storyline of R+J.

XD @ darky
You're surprised by this?! lol. Come on, after the Romeo + Juliet movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, how can anyone be surprised?
You've read it! You can't unread it!
MacBeth would be interesting as an anime
@ Flynt: Damn straight.
Anywayz, people have a really positive opinion of Romeo x Juliet, guess I'll have to buy it once it comes out down here...

MacBeth was alright. I really enjoyed Hamlet and I could definitely see that as an anime.

What is neat, is that the shakespeer plays, if I am correct, have no licensing issues, so the story line can be adapted easily.
Tamming of the shrew, since it did not have an ending written to the inital story, might be a good one to see.
Been doing some Googling and youtube for Romeo x Juliet, seen enough to know this is going to be excellent. The OP song by Lena Park is just brilliant, she's got one lovely voice.
Funny enough, the OP is actually "You Raise Me Up" in Japanese. I just watched the trailer for it on youtube and the changes to the setting of the story is interesting. They changed it to a slightly more magical world with a flying pegasus being shown in a few scenes. I'll be interested to see how that will be implemented into the story.
I do hope the characters of Mercutio, Benvolio and the Nurse that looks after Juliet are in the anime. The nurse and Mercutio added humour to the play when I read it back in high school XD and one of the comedic student in my class made a joke of Benvolio and the nurse getting together LOL. I still remember him making up the lines of what the nurse would say hahaha.
Nurse: "Oh! Oh! Oh! Benvolio! Oh!....wait wait, I lost my teeth." ROFL
