I've been looking at this series for a while but haven't
gotten a chance to watch it.

Is it a series worth checking out?

I liked it, the aircraft designs in Yukikaze are very nice... well, everything around the aircrafts is great, from the jet and minigun sounds to where they blow to pieces, radio transmissions are usually in English and the dogfighting is somewhat "realistic"
The story is where I clash with a little, not because is bad, quite the contrary, is just that I couldn't fully grasp it, it feels like things get rushed towards the end and in the last ep I didn't really know what was going on, or perhaps I didn't put much attention to it.

I haven't seen it... when it did come out here I was going to buy it but I had heard that only the first volume had been released and it'd take quite a long time for the second one to be released since they hadn't even finished animating it... XD
