Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2041

In 2002, ADV Films announced that it had acquired the rights for a new Bubblegum Crisis series, a direct sequel to Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 tentatively named Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2041. There is absolutely no information about this series, it hasn't even gone through the preproduction stages since no one is willing to fund the project in the first place. All we know is that ADV Films is interested in a sequel for BGC2040; since that first announcement, however, there has not been any news of BGC2041, other than a notice from AIC that a Bubblegum Crisis sequel is "still in negotiations"... If there were to be another series made, it would be a 26 episode series with each episode being 25 minutes long. At this point I advise anyone who is excited about this sequel not to get their hopes up, it may take a long time for this series to come... or, most likely, it will never come at all.
