First Generation Hardsuits

Priss' hardsuit

Priss's hardsuit sees the most action in the series, with her incredible fighting abilities, Priss and her hardsuit make quite an impact. Her hardsuits weaponry focuses more on explosives rather that projectile weaponry or cutters. Her knuckle and ankle bombs have served her well throughout the suits service and with her hit and run technique Priss bags the most boomers out of the Knight Sabers. Even though high heels are unnatural and can cause strain on the feet, Priss's hardsuit like the other Sabers have their heels quite high. It's a wonder they don't get foot cramps while in battle. Priss' cobalt blue armour, with it's distinctive "winged" helmet antenna and bright red accents, is one of the most popular "mecha" designs in all of anime fandom. Priss's first generation hardsuit was destroyed in Episode 14 - Shock Treatment.

Knuckle Bombs

Priss's knuckle bombs are one of the coolest parts of Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 and the camera angles you get when she uses them are great. The knuckle bombs are located on a plate on Priss's gauntlets. The bombs look like small circular tablets and are divided into two  rows. There are three bombs on the top row and two on the bottom. To arm the knuckle bombs, Priss makes a fist to allow the metal plate holding the bombs to slide into position over her hand. The intensity of the blast is determined by the amount of bombs that are activated and once Priss chooses a setting all she has to do is punch her target. To make the bombs user friendly, they are designed to explode outwards and away from the suit.

Ankle Bombs

Like the knuckle bombs, Priss's ankle bombs do quite a lot of damage to a target. These bombs are located on the front of Priss's ankles and are set up in three vertical rows. Each row has two bombs and they are activated and controlled in the same manner as the knuckle bombs are.

Linna's hardsuit

Linna has the newest but most unreliable hardsuit out of the Knight Sabers. Linna's suit is fast, light and very manoeuvrable and with Linna's athleticism she can go many places with her suit. In the beginning, when her suit went for its first run the battery was used up very quickly, though later on with the help of Mackie Stingray the suits were upgraded to stop this problem. Her suit is very form fitting compared to the other Sabers and with her ribbon cutters it can be a force to be reckoned with. Her hardsuit is a military green colour accented with red and orange trim. Linna's first generation hardsuit was destroyed in Episode 14 - Shock Treatment.

Ribbon Cutters

These handy cutting instruments take great care to use effectively. Linna's hardsuit are equipped with two ribbon cutters that are connected to her helmet. When the cutters are inactive the energy that is fed into them to make them razor sharp are cut off and the ribbons retract back into the helmet. From what I can tell, the ribbon cutters seem to be a type of flexible metal that can handle a lot of stress.

Nene's hardsuit

Nene's hardsuit is not like the others the Knight Sabers use. It's main function isn't to fight but to serve as an field computer technician. With her specially designed hardsuit, Nene can access computer systems to use her hacking talent. Her suit is also equipped with many small gadgets for her to use including a small but powerful projectile weapon. With that she also has a better sensor system than the other suits do. Another noticeable feature with Nene's suit is that it isn't as maneuverable as the others. This is because she has fixed thrusters while the other hardsuits thrusters are movable. Her hardsuit is an unusual pinkish-red and purple. Nene's first generation hardsuit was destroyed in Episode 14 - Shock Treatment.

Rail gun

No this isn't the same type of rail gun used in the movie Eraser or in Quake II or Quake III. Nene's railgun is a lot different to the other two types. The rail gun is located on the gauntlets of Nene's hardsuit as four square hatches, two on the above the knuckles and two on the underside. The rail gun can fire either two or four rails at a time depending on the situation. When the rail gun is about to fire,  the hatches open up and the rail gun fires two or four energised needles at the target. The rail gun seems to have two modes: rapid fire and burst fire. Rapid fire is when the rail gun fires many rails at the target like a machine gun and burst fire is when the rail gun fires a few rails at a time.

Surveillance Disruptor

This useful little gadget can stop any communication signals that may be present. Nene only used this gadget once in the series and it is unknown where she would store one of these disruptors in her hardsuit. In any case the disruptor is very effective and polite. When a video signal is disrupted a replacement signal is sent out to the receiver saying "Sorry"... This is a sign that it was Nene would've made the surveillance disruptor.

Computer jacks

Nene uses these to allow her to hack into computer systems while in the field.

Sylia's hardsuit

Sylia has the oldest hardsuit out of all of the Knight Sabers. But just because it's a little older doesn't mean that it can't cut it. Sylia's suit has the coolest features including a pair of retractable blades, and cloaking device and a set of wings that enable her to fly. Sylia doesn't use her hardsuit as much as she would like to but when she does she fights very well. With the combination of her three main weapons Sylia can be extremely stealthy and be very dangerous to any boomer. Her suit is primarily a silver/grey colour with teal and pink accents. Sylia's first generation hardsuit was destroyed in Episode 14 - Shock Treatment.

Blades

A simple but effective weapon, a blade can be very effective if used correctly. These half a meter long blades are extremely strong and can slice through most materials making them great against rogue boomers. Sylia has two blades equipped to her suit, one hidden inside each gauntlet, though Sylia usually uses one blade at a time.

Cloaking Device

An extremely useful device that makes Sylia's suit unique is the cloaking device. While this nice gadget is only used once in the entire 26 episodes of the series, we still see how great a weapon it can be. When engaged the user can not be seen by normal vision and can go through a mission undetected. But there must be a downside to the cloaking device. I would think that such a device would drain the hardsuits battery dry at an alarming rate.

Wings

This is what makes Sylia's suit really cool... The wings on Sylia's hardsuit are equipped with two powerful jets at the tip of each wing, this gives enough force for Sylia to actually take off and fly while the rest of the Sabers resort to jumping from building to building. When not in use they are locked into a compact position that looks like a kind of shield.

Softsuits

The Knight Sabers use specially designed suits called softsuits, innersuits or skinsuits to interface with their first generation hardsuits. The suits are designed to be skin tight, as Linna found out herself, so that the user can get into their hardsuit with ease. These suits have connections called "plumbing connections" that secure the user into the hardsuit and are used to interface with the suits computer. These plumbing connections also allow the suit to react to the movements and thoughts of the user and that is the reason why Sylia has to calibrate each hardsuit differently so that it can receive the signals properly.
