VOOMER crimes are on the rise thanks to a group of criminals known as the Backer Syndicate. The syndicate activities are managed by Liam Fletcher, a man on top of the AD Police's most wanted list. While Fletcher is the public face, a man by the name of Naycen Mason leads the syndicate from the shadows. No one has actually been in contact with Mason except for Fletcher who receives his orders directly from Mason.
Business Opportunities
The stolen and illegally modified VOOMER trade is a profitable business opportunity for those who are brave enough to go against the Japanese government. However, the Backer Syndicate go a big step further by stealing directly from Genom themselves. The Backer's have successfully stolen large shipments of military grade combat VOOMERs on many occasions despite Genom and the AD Police's best efforts to stop them. The Backer Syndicate also has several hidden VOOMER factories where everyday VOOMERs are constructed and reprogrammed into dangerous killing machines.
Avoiding the AD Police
Dealing in the illegal VOOMER trade is a dangerous business, especially when the AD Police is determined to bring you to justice. With brilliant leadership skills from Fletcher, the Backer's manage to keep one step ahead of the AD Police and even give them quite a bit of hell in return. However, not everyone within the organisation is as skilled as Fletcher when it comes to dealing with the AD Police. Some find themselves behind bars, those who do meet an unfortunate end at the hands of those within the Backer Syndicate.
