Something special for Lynk |
Heh Kick ass is what I think of it, I thought it was Master Chief at first, but then it turned out to be Nicole-458 (the spartan from DOA4).
Samus looked amazingly Hot (hell both of them did once out of armour) And the dance at the end *cough* had my attention, The fight scenes were while a little over the top quite enjoyable to watch. Nice find Sadi "That's just as stupid as what you said was stupid." - Lynk Former

DUDE, that was AWESOME!!
The battles were so intense that I thought it was a "Kill Bill" sort of movie. Hell, both chicks are hot, in and out of armor. Great find, Sadi. Lynk will rejoice when he sees this. XD

Well, at least this place didn't freak out and declare Master Chief wasn't a girl. Nice to see it isn't myself that knew it was Nicole-458. =^_^=

Actually this has been posted all over the net so I've already seen it.
Either way, I have only one thing to say about the vid. I love the fact that they used only a TINY portion of Samus' abilities to make the fight even. All she needed was one power bomb instead of the volley of morph ball bombs and it'd be all over for the Spartan. Also, the Spartan would've been screwed if Samus actually initiated her Shinespark instead of just boosting through... and Samus lost her armour way too easily there. @ Damatee: Too bad they didn't put as much effort into Samus' Varia suit as they did with her Zero suit model. @ Mav: Yet most of it was lifted straight out of The Matrix Reloaded.

was a fun watch though lol
when Samus lost her armor Spartan's armor "malfunctioned" in a certain area.... lol was quite amuzing XD (btw Lynk could you fix that typo in the title? It's a stubborn thing that -gn typo, ppl recognise me on that XD )
22 April 2007, 6:07 PM
XD Fixed.
And yeah, it was a fun watch, though only once IMHO.

But it was fun, nonetheless.
If only BGC Tokyo 2040 was this intense... *sigh*
22 April 2007, 6:25 PM
If BGC2040 was that intense then it wouldn't make a difference. Story above action. Always.

...And character development, too.

You misunderstand me, I don't like BGC2040.

Entertaining to say the least.

Lynk Isn't the only one Im not to fond of 2040 myself, with the exception of some of the design elements I think its a pale imitation of the original.

It's more like the other way around you whore ^_^`
This reminds me a bit of noahs work.
23 April 2007, 11:19 PM
Nah, Noah would make a better model of Samus' Varia suit.

I said a bit, mainly just the female character models.

But animating isn't that easy, so I give him credit on that aspect...unless he animated it matching Neo and agent Smith with his models frame by frame, in that case I totally take back what I said. Well from what I saw, it looks like he did match it frame by frame. I noticed that the action is more intense in the parts that were lifted from The Matrix Reloaded compared to the parts that were original.

Out of curiosity, was any one actually able to catch all the easter egg signs that he said that where present on the billboards?
And to tell you the truth, I think the original best idea out of the whole thing was ricocheting sniper shots off of jackal shields, usually you can't do that in halo, at all, since the shields are not removable off of the jackal fore-arms, which was nice to see the idea played with. You know, its true that he lifted scenes traight out the sequences in "Reloaded" but he also incorporated them to what he was using, rather than exact frame by frame re-enactment of "Burly Brawl" scene from the movie (ie, pipe thwaking) (an example of lifting with creativity http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/158218 ) I don't know, like the guy said in his comments, people are not in to new, they are in to what they know and seeing it again differently than before.

The gun part with Samus and MC in the air in slow was from the first Matrix film though =P
24 April 2007, 3:10 PM
I'm not gonna nitpick this one mainly because of what Mav said. Animating is not easy. even if he did copy scenes right out of movies, rendering the models frame by frame has to be a bitch. That, and I also liked the sniper rifle/jackal shields to get creative.
24 April 2007, 8:54 PM
I nitpick cause he didn't do the Varia suit right at all. AT ALL.

Lynk Former Wrote:I nitpick cause he didn't do the Varia suit right at all. AT ALL. Thats pritty much the only gripe I had with it, the Varia suit could have been done more accuratly, I know it was only there for a few minutes but it could have been done a LOT better. I'm sure it isn't easy to do, but I would have liked to see something more original.

No, Sadi sounded like one of those mums who goes into a videogame store and asks when the next Super Mario Bros. is coming out for the PS2...
