Well I get this error for one of my accounts:

Sorry! an unexpected error has occurred.

This error has been forwarded to MySpace's technical group.

But, I get a worse one for my main account:

Invalid Friend ID.
This user has either cancelled their membership, or their account has been deleted.

My pages & my friends pages & their friends pages have been deleted. No one's sure what could've caused it, but one thing my friend told me is that her account, for some odd reason, kept subscribing free porn to everyone. I just want to find out if anyone else has been hit.

Accounts weren't deleted, they simply suck at database management. They're transfering information between servers and sucking ass at it.

Then what was up with the free porn part? That couldn't be a database error or else they would've put up the "Technical Error" page. Not the "Invalid Friend ID" page.

I hate myspace. Stupid kids messaging me about how they wanted to "doo nawty tings." I started a myspace profile because I wanted to meet new "intelligent" people, but I guess that was a pretty stupid thing to do. I got tired of getting phone calls from people I don't know, emails from people I didn't want to know, and pictures that downright shouldn't have been known. Screw myspace. It's a teenage emo factory, and subsequently, everything I hate about youth in america at the moment.

It seems people around my time (Late 80s) are the fine line between the classic l33t that is our older youth, and the uncultured "punk" band emo shits who do myspace. I (would hope) to be on the classic side of my age. My best friend, unfortunately, would be on the other end. Grew out his hair long after it went out of style, straightens in... with one of those hot metal things. And myspaces. Myspaces a lot. Sad. I was hoping only people with the mental intellect of 15 year olds did myspace.

Probably a combination of the outages and the security problems they've been having. (WMF exploit in an ad, like six others F-Secure found the other day)

I actually like MySpace... it's a great site for getting back in touch with people you haven't talked to in a long time.

The Flash 9 upgrade rendered redirect.swf useless, even though they could have just stuck with Flash 8 and added the noScriptAccess parameters to all <embed> tags. Although, the security issue you're referring to is more the fault of the average MySpace user's intelligence than MySpace itself.

You only posted it 3 days ago...

At any rate, most of the login lists that were compiled using redirect.swf and through the clever use of iFrames were released to the "public". The replication code for the hack is/was being re-written, and I'm guessing someone will soon find another way to mess with people on MySpace.

(Job at Night Club, Working on my 2D Tournament game, Working on my Anime Bound by Fate (BBF), Still writing Episodes on my BBF-BGC2040 fanfic Alternate Promises (AP), drawing everything for the stories, The list goes on, but one things for sure, this is my favorite forum/site although it may not seem like it. I just felt that I needed to notify everyone here about the MySpace situation.

You said "what's new this time?". I answered you with an update on the recent security problem MySpace had which was the reason for most of the downtime MySpace experienced recently.

Oh. E-mails and passwords were being phished from users by redirecting them to a modified login page (early versions of the hack were fake pages on a seperate server, newer versions were the actual login page with an iFrame opened in them) using an embedded SWF (Flash) file that contained a JavaScript script. The user "logged in", and their e-mail and password were written to a text file. In turn, MySpace had to upgrade to Flash 9 and modify their ColdFusion index, which caused some profiles not to work.

Personally, MySpace, in my opinion is pretty cool until you run into the Porn-bots. I, however use my page(s) to sublimitally talk to my team mates & get in touch with friends.

MySpace is the reason I only have a FaceBook. Just considering how viruses spread rapidly on MySpace, as well as gaudy pages of flash art, its more tolerable for me to use FaceBook.

Not to place anything bad, but for the most of the higher users of the internet, in the US, MySpace is considered the Trailer park of the internet.

Still its amazing though how they can maintain such servers of all those pages.
