I don't know where to get traditional Filipino (Pinoy) songs, but here's a link/sitewhere you can listen to current songs by local artists:

Songs are listed alphabetically, by title. The name of the artist is under the title. Just click the title of the song and you'll be redirected to another page. I'm more into upbeat stuff so I suggest: 2 Trick Pony (Sandwich), 214 (Rivermaya), Direction (Slapshock). Bamboo is pretty good too, as well as anything by Gary Valenciano.

You're asking "Why Pinoy music?" ... well, we can write good English and more into pop-rock than hardcore rock or bubblegum pop. Just check it out, I'd appreciate it if you posted your comments here.

I only listened to two of the songs on that site, 2 Trick Pony & F.U. (what a title lol) and you're right, they're really good at singing in English but I have to admit that their type of music is something I normally wouldn't listen to unless I'm in the same mood as the song's vibe send off. I think maybe some others might like it, it's rather laid back most of the time but rock music isn't really something I listen to a lot.

I mainly listen to a lot of mainstream music XD but of course I have the guilty pleasures of listening to a lot of pop and rnb music (no, not hip-hop or rap music like Eminem or 50 Cent if that's what you're thinking) but I do like listening to some piano music.

I know a lot of pop groups, but most of their songs are in Filipino... but for dance pop, try out stuff by Gary Valenciano (Gary V.). He's also made some RnB songs, but I don't know their titles XD For a nice ballad, try "Warrior is a Child".
