Well, if anyone reads any Jane's books newsletters or any military news websites. The F-14 jet fighter that inspired the Veritech fighters of Macross or Robotech fame is now being phased out of USN service. For now what are your views to this famous fighter? As for me, we're never make a mecha that we can use as our riding steed and what model variants that was used in that altered WWIII timeline would be more improved than the F-14D model and what possible way they improved on it that we in this timeline didn't add to when the US Government stop F-14 production?

THE NEED

That says it all for the F-14A and F-14D Tomcat's... who prodly served for their country. Heck I still feel that the USN will still see action with the F-14, if they ever invade Iran, who was the only other buyer of the F-14. Arrr.... it was only yesterday I dreamed of joining the USN and flying at TOPGUN, however short it was...

I'm on the verge of tears
Military Intelligence are two contradictory words

Yeah, it's sad that the F-14 will no longer be in service
for the U.S. Navy. The F-14 will be replaced by the
F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.
I've seen this aircraft in person at air shows! Man, It is awesome
when it breaks the sound barrier. But still, I'll miss the F-14's
"swing-wing feature."

I like the F-14's transforming feature the best, that Gerwalk mode was so damn cool... *looks around*
You've read it! You can't unread it!

The F-14 will live on - at least in the Iranian Airforce They still have about 60 Jets of that type in active duty. The Shah of Persia bought them just before he was driven out of the country by the Ajatollahs.

That's what I' was saying, so if Bush ever has the balls to invade, it proberbly be USN F/A18 fighters that'll be engaging them XD

I guess they will have to digitally re-do Top Gun's air scenes with F/A-18's now! XP
While they are at it perhaps replace those black agressor F-5's with some acutal MIG's.

I went to this Airshow in Salinas, CA, USA,
and saw this in person. It was awesome!
This video is only a few minutes long, unlike AMV Hell 3.

It's hard to believe that the F-14 fighter actually flew
over Vietnam and has just recently been retired.
Talk about a long career.
I wonder what an Iranian Valkyrie would look like.
