Anyone here that happens to play a game called Lufia?(Lufia II in the US or any other countries.) I happen to have a copy of the game and I enjoyed playing it when I finally got a copy back in 1998. I spent hours playing the game after I got it and was stuck but with help from an older sister got through it, but when and after I got Dekar in my party I was stuck for about 3 years, cuz I didn't know what to do about the guardians in the Ancient Tower and had no walkthroughs at the time available to me at the time. But after I finally went through the Tower, I managed to get into the rest of the story without any probs and of course I decided to go egg hunting for more stat-enhancing potions, 4 time and tried to defeat the Egg Dragon, after that, beaten the entire game when there was little else to do.

The most joy I got out of it however was the Ancient Cave and trying to get to the lowest floor despite my levels being too low.

i loved Lufia. there was a heap of confusion about the number in the series it was... the front of the cartridge said Lufia, but the game itself said Lufia II.

i liked it, but never finished it.

one of my friends did finish it, and its one of the only games ive ever seen where the hero dies at the end.

Lufia II is a prequel to Lufia. Since Lufia II is a prequel, some people consider it the first game, which you can consider Lufia II if you're going by storyline, but date made, Lufia was released first, then prequel to Lufia, Lufia II, was released.

I myself have only played Lufia II. I beat it as it was extremely easy around the end. Though, I never beat the Ancient Cave. The Ancient Cave is half luck and half talent. If you have good luck, you'll find great items early. If you have bad luck, then you won't. That is one thing I dislike about the Ancient Cave. There was a few glits that allowed you to take certain items into Ancient Cave.
