I went to a an electronics store in hiroshima the other day to get a new signal converter for my korg synthesizer and they had signs up everywhere with ps3's all over em. I went into the store and found what I needed, but as soon as I went to check out I heard the store manager (he had manager written in big red letters in english on his jacket) yelling really loud. Turning aound I see everyone leave the checkout isles all of a suden. Then all hell breaks loose.

I'm not quite sure how many, but ps3's went on a special give away 140,000 yen staple, something that normal people would consider rediculous (it's about 1,200 american, 'bout 650 brit pounds) and crazy people would consider absolutely insane. Needles to say, i've never seen these quiet people throw down and beat the living crap out of each other in plublic like that before. It was really weird.
