USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG-81) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer of the United States Navy homeported in NS Norfolk, Virginia.

On 22 August 2005, Churchill was involved in a minor collision with USS McFaul (DDG-74) off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida. Both ships suffered minor damage, and no injuries were reported. Both ships returned to their homeport at Naval Station Norfolk under their own power.

anyway the ship went underway a few times, still in the virgina area going from port to port. im going to be stateside for a long while, but almost 98% guarentee that i wont be able to visit on a normal basis

so for now its all shore routine...
6-whenever during the week, duty-section only on weekends. (i had duty yesterday T_T).
i got a good bunch in my ship. quite humorious, but it seems that im stuck as the most junior person in my division.
two chiefs, a first class, 5 2nd classes and me a non-PO (im an E-3).

As for me becoming an NCO, i'll be taking the 3rd class exam come september ^_^

oh yeah one more thing,...

been out a few times now, not for very long though, but out enough into the ocean to be considered 'out'



no motion sickness for me!!
infact i like being out, seeing the endless horizon of water and the gleam off of the water. me being from rochester i only get a fraction of that experience from lake ontario, cus you could still see a bit of toronto at night, but in the day you still know that canada is on the other side just in the far far far distence.
in the ocean is much different.

i cant wait til i got out on a deployment!
