hello.... i htink my fav one is you're in the battlefield or rebel asia
Hi and welcome to the forum. Out of all the tracks I've heard from the soundtracks of 2040, I'd have to say the piano version Bukkirabouna Ai ni Oboretai is my most favourite. It's quite a soft and easy listening track yet kind of has a depressing vibe which is funny considering the original is quite upbeat and rock-ish.
Don't know the names of the songs, but I really liked the intro song.
Generally like any of the tracks depending on my mood, but persistent favs are Ame, Blue Confusion (natch) and the Journey instrumental.
Just because it's in the thesaurus doesn't mean it's a good idea.
And why isn't 'dethesaurisation' in the dictionary?
Waiting for you and the intro are the only 2040 songs I can tollerate. I think that was the only aspect of the show that let me down. The lackluster music just took away the umph. The BGC OVA's music however, was refreshingly original (Even though the similarites between Koniyawa Hurricane and Bonnie Tyler's Holding Out For a Hero are a bit close) and represented truthfully the cyberfunk-cyberpunk feel of the times.
Maybe 2041 might be a dead concept, but if anyone happens to pick it up, they better do it with a kick ass soundtrack.

You've read it! You can't unread it!
Just had to mention that I finally got round to getting a copy of Collectors File 1999 soundtrack, mainly because of the piano versions of Ame and Bukkirabouna Ai ni Oboretai but a couple of other tracks on it are still enjoyable to listen to.
Bukkirabo na Ai ni is good, and the piano version is better.
