The DS lite is being launched in the US on June 11th selling for 129.99USD

However, and I found this very surprising and funny. Australia is getting the DS lite on June 1st... for the first time Australia is getting something BEFORE the US. The catch is is that the system will sell for 199.95AUD down here (that's 153.77USD).

I can't wait to get one I want one soo bad! And I'm glad they are keeping it the same price as the regular DS, in the US at least. I think i'd rather wait the extra 10 days and save some money.

I won't be buying a DS lite right off the bat... I'm choosing to wait for the navy blue version or if Nintendo loves us enough, a black DS lite.

I'm going to attempt to turn in my old DS for a Lite, or something like that, once it comes out. Either that, or I'll ask for a reserved one for my birthday. Or something like that.

It's not just smaller, the screen is superior to all other handhelds, it's superior to the PSPs screen. Which is GREAT, why? Sunlight doesn't affect the screen anymore, you can see it clearly in all light conditions and at extreme angles. The battery life has also been extended.

This upgrade IS worth it, it's just good as the difference between the original GBA and the GBA SP.
