Hmm...my comment would be that if I read this review before I watched Tsukihime...I never would've watched it. Seems darktruth focused just a tad bit too much on the downfall....still, I can't disagree with any of what he said, so it's most probably just right that he put all those in, since it's all true.

Hehehe, well it does look like I focused a lot on the downside of Tsukihime but it's necessary for those who know (and for those who don't) about the original game this anime was based off.
I did enjoy watching this but I'm not sure if the majority of others will, the main problem is that many will end up getting bored with this series because the characters talk too much with little fighting action going on and I'm sure many prefer the action than long draggy dialogue. Despite this however I really enjoyed the story and twists they had along with the music, the opening theme is pretty cool to listen to even though it's mainly just a choir singing.
I've also recently seen up to 8 episodes of Fate/Stay Night which actually includes the characters that never appeared in Tsukihime, the story is actually quite different though and isn't very vampire orientated. I recommend you also try watching that to see those missing characters from the Tsukihime anime.
The ending was a little bit sad to me, especially the last scene of Arcueid and Shiki in the classroom. On the other hand, it was nice to see Satsuki's storyline changed since in the original game she had a very sad ending.
oki, I'll check out Fate/Stay when I get the chance ^^ as for Tsukihime, I liked it (even just for the fact that it's VAMPIRE ANIME)... except that it kinda felt a whole lot like a dating sim...and the script writer kinda crammed a large chunk of the plot in the last 4 episodes.... :P wuved it anyways. Music was AWESOME.

Yeah, it was okay. But one thing that stumped me was , why did the sister need to suck blood from the maid's ... area. Why didn't she suck it from somewhere else, like the neck? Maybe its a little to cliched, but it seems a lot less perverted than the ... area.
I think there's a vampire lore out there that says or implies that some vampires suck blood from...that area. I've seen a few movies doing that, esp. when the vampire is female.
