Okay... Is it me or is it getting slow this month. No Lynk I don't mean the amount of updates to the site that you pointed out, but the amount of active use on the forum by members. It getting boring, just like it was before Lynk closed up shop with the last C3F. Don't get me wrong, since we had the relaunched of the forum and it database site, we have seen an encreasement of new members. But it not an exact landslide of new members I was hoping for....

I don't know if I'm standing alittle above my paygrade here by saying this with this forum, but does anyone have any ideas on improving the situation?

For example we have about 40 members of the forum out of 76 who have no posts or less the twenty since they join. Are these members afraid of interactivting with us? Are they scared of being attack my the Vampire members? Or do they find us boring? [I find that hard to believe XD]

Is there any ideas that you people have that we could do too imporvement membership? I feel we could pitch in a bit of money each to help Lynk have a bit of advertisment, with his [They didn't terrbile things to me and I want more banner] we have a landslide. I mean is too slow compared with some other website I'm a member of.... Heck I would Advertises the C3F at anime-forums.com but they would clamp down faster then Sonic would enhale Chilledogs with their no othersite advertisment policy.

Heck Only one other member at my other site I go to is an Anime fan... that a sad thing, because it a Sci-fi site.....

Going to a full anime site instead of just a BGC focused one means going up against a lot of competition. It's not surprising that things have started out slowly, but TACC just has to carve out a niche for itself. Another key may be to focus on a few new anime series that are just coming out now. Grow the interest with those and that can help the site grow as well.

I've noticed it too, and I feel I'm also partly to blame since I haven't posted in awhile...

It's hard to reply to messages that don't exist...and I'm terrible at starting new topics.

Maybe a bit of advertisement could help, but who does this site advertise to?

We do have a lot of regular members here, but when it comes down to it they hardly ever post here. I come in and see plenty of people on the online list but no one posts. And when they do it's a pretty rare occasion, we're all a bunch of lurkers for the most part.

I have done my part to get people here, I've managed to drag a few of my LucasForums buddies in here and I've been advertisting this place using my signature images. Hell even Sithy and Moelman have been advertising this place... so I don't know what else to do but work on the site(s).

As for what Analog has said, TACC is getting more traffic than BGCC could ever had achieved because it's using the collective power of TACC, BGCC and the other sites to grab visitors. Basically the real problem is that current members don't seem to be as active as some of would like them to be and then visitors come to this place and don't see that much activity and think "well this place is pretty dead" and leave...

It's one thing to get people to this site and another to get actual content into it to keep them here, I'm sure most don't want to come to a site with very little content. We also need to realise that currently TACC is very understaffed so it's much tougher to keep putting out updates.

Also you need to consider the sites that really have alot of members usually have some sort of "illegal" material (to an extent) for them to download because it's what they want from anime sites and thus have a much bigger chance of being shut down or crashing. Once those materials are gone, the people leave because that's all they came for.

Analog has also said it, going into a full anime site is definitely much tougher to make it big when you have other sites like Anime on DVD and Anime News Network that have regular news updates, reviews and other various exclusive information. So what can we do? I've done my share of advertising so the only thing I can continue to do is help Lynk with the site and hopefully sometime in the future more regulars appear.

@ darky's last paragraph: Like I said in my last post, TACC is doing better than BGCC ever did, the competition is irrelevant in that respect.

And just like I said in my last post, we have plenty of regular members, we're just all very quiet. We just need to make this place a lot more livelier to get more members in here.

It's not this is like a competition between BGCC and TACC, it's going up against those others sites out there. Perhaps when Lynk works on and completes his other network sites then we might generate more traffic and get more activity on the forum because there's been certain people who are wanting those series (which have little web presence aka fansites) get a site open.

No I mean BGCC was up against all of those other sites in the first place and was losing because it was a BGC site. If this was still a BGC site it would not be open, I would've left it closed and dead.

But yes, the network sites would generate more traffic, but as I keep saying, traffic isn't really the main issue since TACC is getting a good amount. Getting more traffic for the site isn't necessarily gonna get people into the forums if the forum seems quiet in the first place.

We need to all be adding a bit to the forum every day that why we're here, maybe starting a new topic or replying to an existing one. For my part I started off a couple of debates but I soon lost intrest in them. Also I would proberbly created some threads on the manga and Anime I've brought, but it seems my tastes don't exactly follow main line choices.
But I'll make this my number one Project! If someone notices that I fail to do this, they have permission to blow me up with an N2 Bomb..... XD

That's it exactly, While most anime fans are screaming about Rumiko Takahashi InuYasha and Ranma 1/2, I busy watching Mermaid Saga or Maison Ikkoku.

Well the way the British MOD is, the only way we're conquer the world is to sell off our dodgy military stuff to other countries. The only one to fall for that was Canada when they brought four subs from us... Other then that we're get whiped out in the first wave, due to low supply. Hell our soilders have to buy their own kits from Army surplus stores, Because the MOD can't supply it....

Well im gonna have to say sorry for not being more active and stuff but i tend to be using im services and going around the internet learning many things.
I usally come here for the Weird Stuff topic tbh i havnt seen very many Animes at all i dont even own any unless you count games so i cant realy talk about it as much.But then saying that i still like it =) So thats my explantion =P
So lets think on basics people come to forums to talk about things and people can get bored which means you would have to make a more interesting topics maybe something about life or something very strange =P
