Heylo all,
I've been out of the forum life for about a year or so, previous forum through animesuki kinda died and I phased out the forum world for a while.
But, as of last night i decided to give it another go and the C3F looks like a great place to settle down to.
I'm 18, Psyc student at Queen's, Ontario Canada. I've been watching a pretty full gambit of anime for, oh, 6 years or so i suppose. Can't really declare anything favorite, it seems i'll watch just about anything, as long as its got a rythm and i can dance to it
Hope to get to know you all soon, chow

Y helo thar, welcome to the forum Jay. *waves* Hey, a psychologist... we could use one of those, us being crazy and all.
It's been a while since we had a new member... so the zombies and vampires and such are all VERY hungry. So watch out, especially when posting at night. Have fun.

...how did they catch on to me so fast....my god....must distract them with idle banter, lest i fall prey to their manipulations!!
Thanks abound for all the welcome! It seems i'll be able to find room to hang my many novelty hats here.
I'm lucky I read some of the other introduction threads, or Hawkeye would have had me thinking I had a new nickname or great new friend. (Who knew, forums to have inside jokes? j/k)
Ohh! One thing I wanna know is the grand story behind the old forum, what happened to it, who took it, where its being held, all the gruesome details.

Welcome to C3F Jay

I can answer that! *gets out whip and lashes everyone else* BACK! MY STORY! I'M THE ADMIN AFTER ALL
*ahem*
As I was saying...
This version of the forum is actually the fourth one lol. Not many people know that. When this place was still The Bubblegum Crisis Center I got into contact with this guy who ran another web site. I can't remember how I found this guy, I think he joined another forum that I go to and I must've followed his signature link back to his site. Anywayz, the first two incarnations of the forum were hosted by his site. The first version lasted a couple of months and was powered by Invision Power Boards... Unfortunately I screwed something up in the admin panel and the forum died lol. I contacted the guy and he reset the forum, but this time using PHPBB which I didn't really like, that forum only lasted a week or so.
After a short period of time I finally got myself a domain name and paid hosting. It was time for a third try and I restarted the forum (powered by Invision Power Boards) once again and hoped for the best. The third forum grew slowly and suddenly before I knew it I was surrounded by a bunch of regulars. And we've had A LOT of fun since, with a lot of strange and wacky moments, most of which we'll never forget cause they're too damn classic
I'm sure the other members will wanna tell you some of the more entertaining moments that have gone on so I'll let them fill you in if you want...
Of course... it didn't last. The forum was starting to die, not many people were around, everyone seemed to have disappeared. BGCC itself wasn't doing too well. Well it WAS for a BGC site, I mean other than Raven's Garage mine was the only other BGC site anyone visited. But I wasn't satisfied with it. And to add to that I had a tonne of work to do in my multimedia course and I was stressed out as all hell.
I decided to close the site down along with the forum... Well the site did stay closed for awhile... and then suddenly I'm like. "AH! WHAT HAVE I DONE?!?!?!!IULQ:HJFSLKFH?L:@U!!!!!!" and reopened the site months later. I tried to bring back the forum, I had the database backed up, in fact I had several copied of the backed up database.
Only problem was that the people who created Invision Power Boards are morons. It seems that while I did have a working database, it couldn't sync up to the version of IPB I had installed. Why? Because it was a clean version, not a version I had upgraded time and time again from older versions. For some reason nothing worked, the damn thing kept on telling me that my database was corrupted... WHEN IT WASN'T! GAH!
So I just thought "fuckit" and decided that If I am gonna restart this forum, I'm gonna have to go for the best. A few long months later I finally had the money to buy a copy of vBulletin. And here we are now.
You've read it! You can't unread it!

Good to know the forum's back on the rise, its always sad to see them die.
I've always liked the vBulletin forums, they're visually attractive and user friendly.
As far as stories go, I find that they're only fully appreciated by being there in the moment, but I am sure they'll come up and I'll catch up naturally later.
Of course any anyone wants to share, or are easily reiterated I would love to hear
Oh, and thxs Lynk for the comprehensive history, i'm sure i'm not the only one who appreciates knowing some background.

Untrue, it's just as fun to pretend that you were there.
The only thing I remember actually being there for (lurking) was a BGC2041 topic called "The dreaded 'H' word", which was 'Hold'... but quickly turned to ways to spice up the series with another H-word. That topic was golden.

Heya Jay. Welcome aboard to C3F, as Lynk said we had alot of fun times over at the last incarnation of the forum (I guess we must've been on something at the time) such as the one Firestarter mentioned and dare I mention this again the family tree diagram and clown sabers 2041.
*Ahem* on more serious note beware of the rabid C3F regulars when they're on caffeine lol, you might wanna stick with the only (assumed) normal person here *points at Maverick* or if you wanna go join the loony bin feel free to jump in XD.

The forum ate my reply... it must be plotting with my file-munching computer ¬¬
Welcome to the funny farm, Jay, where randomness tends to breed in the corners unattended and jump out at you on dark nights. Sometimes we call him Hawkeye, but 2am is the most dangerous time for the others to emerge If you can handle the intermittent doses of normalcy and utter insanity, then welcome to the club.

Just because it's in the thesaurus doesn't mean it's a good idea.
And why isn't 'dethesaurisation' in the dictionary?

Don't forget Priss' lethal daikon radish and mustard hogies. Poor Nene... she'll never look at a sandwich the same way again. But don't worry, Nene, the crisps are always there for you!
These snippets are starting to sound like plot bunnies for a 2040 crack fic Dementia all around, hooray

Leon, Henderson and Nigel in drag... oh yeah, that gave a few people nightmares. Daley on the other hand was okay with it all...
You've read it! You can't unread it!

Well there was a moment of uncertainty as to whether the blue or the green eyeshadow brought out the colour of his eyes... but aside from that, Daley's no drama queen.

......
I love reminiscing, even if i'm clueless towards every bit of it.
I think i'll take Firestarter's advice and continue to nod along with the stupidest of grins.
In fact, big stupid grins for all!!
I have always been somewhat of an ignorance and bliss something or other, i'm not really sure how it goes, I never bothered looking into it.
