OK so Iron Man has been in theaters for a few days now, who here has seen it? I saw it twice, once on opening night and then on Saturday afternoon. I didn't know a lot about Iron Man going in besides what I could gather from his few appearances in Amazing Spider-man so I can't complain about it following the original comics or anything, but I really enjoyed it as a movie. Downey Jr. was great for the role of Tony Stark. Probably one of the better superhero movies out there.
I have to go see it soon. >_>
I want'er see Cap... Screw tin man

Dont diss iron man in fronrt of me hawk or i will smite you down, I have seen the movie and i loved, it cgi was amazing and the comcialness of it made me chuckle was a very good movie wont go into much detail but the movie it self despite being a b-class movie has done very well.
its rolled in £51million on its first weekend, making it the 10th most successful movie opening of all time, and its the second most successful film in the list of non sequels, it only lost to spider man which took in 58 million, it has also roled up over £101 million so far which is more than catwoman and daredevil made in its entire release.
So as you can see iron man rocked
so go see it i recommend it
Hey I don't diss him, I'll just rather see Captain America instead as he my fave Avenger!!!

quantity isn't quality.
I don't think I'm wonna watch it, I grow up to the point of disliking these sorta movies, with spiderman 2 I kept complaining that tritium is an artificial isotope that doesn't exist in nature... and it's a gas.
meh.
Military Intelligence are two contradictory words

Science! babble is little in this one, and most of the tech is more mechanical than scientific. The humor is deadpan and not forced or comic book like in Spidey 3. Oh, and if Gundam was done this way, I would go see it.
You won't be disappointed.
I dont know if Mav knows more about mechanical things or chemical things XP
I might see Iron Man eventually because my family might get it on DVD or from DVD rental thing XD
I already watched this one. Caused me a lot to. that tickets litteraly cut my allowance in half.
Going to see this tonight, with any luck. And it had better be as good as you all say it is! Or else! *points like Naruto, above*
......kidding, kidding. Slightly
Just because it's in the thesaurus doesn't mean it's a good idea.
And why isn't 'dethesaurisation' in the dictionary?
I think you will enjoy it blue, well i hope you do XD
I saw it two weeks ago. I thought IT FUCKING ROCKED!! The reason that I liked it was because it didn't feel like a superhero movie. It felt more like looking at the world from the perspective of someone who designs weapons for a living. The special effects, character development, and humor are excellent.
There's some funny scenes of Tony Stark trying out his iron man suit and he has these robots that are helping him out. One of the robots is responsible for fire control, which has a habit of spraying Tony when he is not on fire. *Laughs* Tony even says to it at one point, "Every time I look at you I think I'm gonna catch on fire due to spontaneous combustion."
And don't worry, that's only a very small, brief sample of the kind of humor that you'll get in this movie. XD
Jeff Bridges does a fantastic job of playing Tony's partner, who ends up fighting Tony at the end of the movie.
My overall opinion is go and see it! It's one of those very few movies that's actually worth seeing this year. The only other movie I'm looking forward to is The Dark Knight, then I'll be done at the theaters this year.
I give Iron Man a 4 out of 5. Why 4 instead of 5? I thought that the final battle scene was a little anti-climatic.
Thanks, howling, it was great Not the best film I've ever seen, the last battle scene left me a bit "eh" but it was well worth watching. Nice to see that the genre's matured enough that they can poke fun at the superhero genre itself, such as the Spiderman dig.
