This came as a shock. I never expected this to happen to him but it seems like celebrities usually die of a drug overdose (it's still speculation on whether Heath died of that or not). I don't know how his family is going to cope with this. It's a real shame for him to die when he was at his peak as an actor.

The cause of his death is yet to be determined but the autopsy and toxicology reports should be coming in soon. Rumours are that he may have accidentally mixed different medical prescriptions with his sleeping pills that turned out to be lethal. Many of his close people have been saying he had been exhausted and had troubles sleeping when he was filming for the latest Batman movie. He was also in the middle of filming for another movie and the shoot may have had a strain on him which may explain why sleeping pills were found in his room.

No, the new Batman movie will still be coming out since it was in post-production before Heath's death. He was shooting for another film shortly before he died, so that film is now in tatters.
