So I had only used itunes once before on a Japanese R&B track, it was fortunate that that song was available on all the itunes store such as Australia, US, UK etc. Now what I'm annoyed at is the fact that there are a lot of Japanese R&B songs I like that are only available on itunes with no physical CD releases at all.

It was lucky of me to be able to find them from searching around back when I was curious on the urban scene of Japanese music, however, it's getting harder when I want to keep up on a few artists I liked whenever they release a new song only on itunes Japan only to find I can't buy it cause I'm from Australia!

I really do wish Apple could sometime in the future make songs available to all users around the world as I'm sure itunes Japan isn't the only store that doesn't allow international buyers. It really does suck that you're only limited to the itunes store of your own country

For now I guess I can use the loophole of purchasing a Japanese itunes music gift card from J-List to download from itunes Japan but it'd be much less of hassle if I could use my own credit card instead.

It's the same with downloading Wii Virtual Console games, but it doesn't suck for me cause they're releasing games that never made it over to Australia on WiiVC.

I actually never understood the different regions buyer restrictions. I guess there are some copyright issues that don't necessarily fall under US/UK/Aus/wherever countries law system. No cross mojination. I've run into the same problem on a few UK electronica albums I wanted to purchase, but never thought to use a gift card.

Maybe I might go back to pirating tunes...

The majority is copy right, I mean I can browse jpop on iTunes and listen to it but I think you would have to setup your store different and get a japanese iTunes gift card to make it work. Other wise, you might be able to send something to apple in their forums about international sales.

As for me, I am am lucky enough to find OST's at the store I go to, as well as some odd and ends torrents, which I later delete after I find the Disc in hardcopy.

Meh, I don't know why people get in such a rut about pirating tunes, especially when something like this happens. Its not our fault an easily downloadable copy of the song or album isn't available, and what other places sell the same tunes? I've go to waste so much time looking for the equivalent when theres the possibility that its all right there in front of me.

Hence why I am starting to miss Tower Records, they had the odd anime DVD and OST CD but I miss them so.

They still operate online though I believe. You can always order form the international stores that still exist!
