Nintendo DS Lite

We knew that it'd come some time, though I didn't expect it to be THIS soon. Either way, Japan is getting this on March 2nd and it's looking pretty damn good. For those who are worried about the GBA slot, I wouldn't worry, the GBA slot is a very powerful tool that has been used in many different ways and will be used in many different ways in the future so even though we can't see it in this redesign, I'm betting it's still there.

It's great, it's smaller, lighter, the screens are brighter and have a 4 level brightness control. The GBMicro/Revolution style buttons are being used, which is great cause I've used a Micro and the buttons for it are like sex.

Me and a friend of mine on MSN were talking about this. It's awesome! Now I just hope they won't make it that if we wanna change the brightness, we won't have to stop the game we're playing and go back to the menu just to do so...

No, it won't be like that. The brightness control won't be controlled in-game but with the use of existing buttons on the DS. A kind of "hold Select and press L or R to adjust brightness" sorta thing... like the GBMicro.

I like this comparison XD It's almost as if Nintendo was aiming to make the PSP look bulky with the DS lite lol.

I'm so hoping for a black one though... I mean that'd look so damn sexy... it hasn't been announced that there will be a black DS lite but this photoshopped image will do for now...

Obviously, the DS is beating the PSP in sales in Japan and most likely in America and other regions.

Nope... here's how it is...

Japan = DS wins, hands down.
US = Neck and neck battle.
Europe = DS winning.
Australia = Who the hell knows, I'm assuming neck and neck.

But when you consider the fact that in Japan the DS sold over 1 million units within two weeks, Japan is the most important region by far. Whoever controls Japan will win the war.
