man I remember watching that show as a kid.
the show did have a surprising ammount of violence in it for a kids show... also the fact that characters were killed off quite often was something different that few expected

Remember seeing a few episodes of this when I was a kid. It was a great series, and frankly, the fact that they showed the violence and character deaths made it that much more likable to me -- they didn't tiptoe around the topic, and they focused on plot over laughs.
Might have to look into this one more closely now...
Just because it's in the thesaurus doesn't mean it's a good idea.
And why isn't 'dethesaurisation' in the dictionary?

@ Blue: Exactly, you weren't hidden away from the facts of life, and even if the story was about animals, there were still some truths that kids need to know and shouldn't be hidden away from.

I remember watching that, but I couldn't remember the name. I think I used to call it 'that show with the fox and the other animals travelling somewhere.' Anyway, I think I only watched half of that. I got a little bored halfway.
