Blizzard now has closed the online sales of the WoW Retail version. So, ahm... I'm in a kind of trouble here. I already have my account but my boyfriend is getting one for himself (mine was shared with him, but now we're both playing at the same time). There aren't any local sales of the WoW retail version (and obviously the same about the expansions...).

SO

I'm looking for some friends here that have gone to the US to see if they can get the retail and all the blizzard blablabla stuff whatever for me. And waiting for the blizzard staff to reply my emails.

if i can't get any help, could anyone from the us here get me a retail version? I'll pay asap via paypal or bank deposit (HSBC or Citibank anyone?) or whatever! <o> And I'll surely ask this again if the same happens to the Wrath of the Lich King T____T aaaah i want a local retailer here in Brazil T_____T

well, there are some restrictions to buy the retail version now =/ and that goes from where i live. they wont deliver but i can send a mail to amazon asking for it. The problem is that i just need the code! i dont need the box or instruction manual nor anything else -_-

What i need the most is the activation code key that comes inside the retail box. The game instalation and all i already have, straight from the blizzard site. They've replied to me saying that the you can still buy online, the problem is where you're from. They now depend of a local trader or something like that. And it's not really working from Brazil now.

About the Burning Crusade pack, they're still selling online, hoorraaaaay! So that's not a problem for me!

If you want to send the WoW retail box later, i'd apreciate it ^^ And I'll send a PM so that we can discuss about how I'm going to send you the money and all that concerns about shipping details.

reminds be of the one time where someone whom i chatted with needed a new computer. she was running a busted little pentium pro. 266

so for 10 bucks out of my work i got a full tower case with a mobo that ran dual p3 500mhz.
so i went out and bought a new case (a mid tower), and put in 512mb of ram (4x 128mb pc100), a couple of harddrives (2x 20gig WD 5400rpm), and installed xp

but something was sorta wrong, so i sent it to a guy (whom was apart of the same group) in toronto canada, mind you at the time I was in Rochester, New York (us)
he found the problem and finished sending it to her in San Diego, California (us)

that board was sweet, had scsi connectors on it, i threw on a DVD-rom and a CD-rw (dvd-rw's werent really around then)

New patch released! Now there's that pseudo team speak party enabled. I haven't tested myself, since the new patch crashed my wow and i have to reinstall EVERYTHING and patchup EVERYTHING again

and blizzard has opened space for 2d artstis to work in starcraft 2. Damn, i so wish i lived in the US in times like these...

well, i was checking the blizzard site, it seems more than a regular animewhatevercon. Very interesting also from a working point of view, since it's also a place to show up what you can do and catch a job.

Yeah you can turn it off I believe and when you /ignore someone it ignores both text and voice. I never really used vent or anything so I'm kind of indifferent to it.

I do see the use of it in group, when you go into dugions and do raid, where it going to be a vaulable tool for team work. It hard to type and attack at the same time, so as a tool for this GREAT.... except it going to Ruin the Mood of Playing a Female charcter.....

Hmm, some WoW fans.....cool, wish I had noticed that sooner, alas I am taking a break, after giving the game over two years of my life I figured it time.

My accounts have lapsed for the time being but when I bring them both back up I'll link you to my 2 main characters.

My first and formost main is Nexxus - 70 mage, very decked in both Gladiators and Aldor vestments. Over 800+ base spell dmg which for those who play know that's pretty high (+987 spell dmg if I spec arcane!)

My second is Kozy - 70 druid, he's much less geared but a great healer, 1200+healing, hes fun for running around in cat form :P

A tip for you all, after an infinity of hours of my time and effort, leading a huge guild and conquering all there was to conquer, I end up with nothing to show for it, besides the characters which are worthless each time an expansion comes out, puts me right back at ground zero. The time it takes to level a character to 70 is nothing compared to the time it takes collecting the gear to make you really stand out and be a cut above the rest.
In short, your only on top for a brief time, once the expansion comes out your gear becomes worthless with all the new "cooler" gear that is brought with it. This means another couple of hundred hours to begin collecting the new stuff.....until another expansion.

I suggest playing for fun only, if you play for the challenge of finishing the game, your only up for dissapoinment, it's endless.

That said, there's a bunch of fun times to be had, if you don't take it too seriously, and I have some very cool PVP video clips from it.

Exactly the gig, playing for fun. It's pointless for look for an end on a MMORPG. They'll always do something next for you to keep playing. I really don't see anything big in reaching the top in change of the rest of hours you should be actually sleeping.

WoW for me is fun all the time, and what i like the most beside playing with my friends, is catching quests that are really big for the story of warcraft. And to interact with characters that you played with then in the previous wacraft games gets it even more interesting!

Yep, that's a good way to take it. I also rolled a bunch of characters on "Earthenring" which is an RP server. RP can take up alot of your time too but it is great fun, there are alot of people on that server taking it up full time!

Went to Darkmoon Fair in RL, passed through the London Excell Convention centre, not as big a Blizz Con but still alot of fun for WOW gamers.
