I just came back from watching TRANSFORMERS... and I'm here to put all of your fears to rest. It is an extremely decent movie. It does have some cheesy moments, but they're either drowned out by something hilariously funny or by the intense action itself. A well crafted movie and while extremist fans will have SOMETHING to complain about, they shouldn't because this is a very decent effort to bring them to the big screen. I was extremely fearful of what I was going to see but my worries are all gone. Well done to everyone who made it, you've won over this Transfan.
Now make a sequel that's at least just as good. Don't screw it up, you've got a good thing going here.
You've read it! You can't unread it!

XD *points and laughs*
Did any other country get the Transformers movie earlier than the US besides Australia? Usually we'd get the crap films first before America does (e.g. "DOA" and "Epic Movie") so I'm wondering why they decided to release this film to the Australian market first.
US and UK getting Transformers movie released in cinema later than Aus, its not that bad XD
Atleast now you know if buying tickets to see it before it actually comes out or if going to see it is worth it =P
I think it has something to do with the fact that the school holidays start right now so to try to take maximum profits out of kids out of school they let Australia have it first.
But yeah, if you're a Transfan, you'll love it. If you're not, it's a good intense action movie with some hilariously funny moments not worth missing XD
Protip: Stay for the credits, you'll all want to see something that appears in it.
Oh and when I was watching the movie, there was this uber geek who was sitting next to me XD ...man, he was so tense, he was literally clutching his seats arm rests through the entire movie and not moving an inch. At one point I had to give him a sidewards glance just to make sure he wasn't experiencing a heart attack XD

Since there was someone giving the movie that much attention, I'm getting the impression that this movie is going to kick ass.
Glad that you got to see it, Lynk, you lucky guy.
havent seen it yet, got my ticket for the show tuesday at 830p
live free die hard was awesome, no plot, everything went explodey
But TF will be much better

They've already planned a second and third movie.
You've read it! You can't unread it!
sucks for me, i wont be able to see it until later in july.
Nice, I'll probably see it next tuesday when it is "officially" released.
I probibly wont see it unless someone gets it on DVD here then i take time off the computer to watch it XD
i'll be surprised if you cant torrent it by now
I had to edit someone's post in LucasForums for linking people to a torrent site, don't start giving people ideas here. This is a movie that'll be widely available in a lot of countries and then will be available on DVD in those countries so you can't use any bullshit excuse to download it.
You've read it! You can't unread it!
"Everyone does it." Jking XD
@ Chim: Look out for that joke in the movie
And yeah, everyone does download stuff they shouldn't be, including me. But we all have to limit ourselves somewhere.
You've read it! You can't unread it!
Dully noted on the availability of the film in torrents, I would rather pay to see it myself than some half ass DVD Rip or camera seat version.
All I know is that it better make me gasp in awe like the superman opening credits.
So now, can we all say that Michael Bay actually did a good job on this?
*currently reading the "ZOMGOD Official" novel prequel*
No internet Rumer/Spoilers on the base of "Prime has lips"
I've seen enough sites and information and even stupidly grazed through the comic book adaptation, which I gladly have been able to forget.
(better sense to read prequels at least that gives a better build up for it)
I never thought to look at who the voice actors playing the Transformers were until now... Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime.
Freaking sweet I had no idea they brought the guy who was the original voice of prime in for the movie

Better or i'll hatet prime for ever
You're gonna end up eating your own words Leon

nom nom nom feed me more of those lovely words
Sorry, couldn't resist To add relevance, haven't actually seen this movie but I'm sure my Transformers obsessed friends will change that in due time.
Just because it's in the thesaurus doesn't mean it's a good idea.
And why isn't 'dethesaurisation' in the dictionary?

I can't wait for the movie personaly, I just know I will break out in unicorn giggles.
Also for those that follow, the "Prequel" novel that is written by Alan Dean Foster, "Ghosts of Yesterday" is not that good. Just finnished reading it, and I found myself actually skipping paragraphs and only skimming them near the end. I actually found myself stopping to reread his use of vocabulary and the use of present and past and words that I frankly had trouble applying my knowing of grammar to. Overall I found myself doing it 4-5 times in the novel.
The strong points of the book is the actual monolouge and internal thoughts of either side of the transformers race, but the human side is not so great. But it dose give background on how Megatron was transfered from the artic to the Hoover Dam.
Some other books by Foster include:
The Black Hole-did not read
Star Wars Episode IV-was the one that actually wrote it, but Lucas got the credit, and I read that and I liked it.
Anything prequel base I would recommend the comics, but the movie adaptation, just from the glance and page skim, not so much.
Can't wait to see the movie!
Use spoiler tags Gaess.

probably lynk, and I hope I have too *looks at his optimus prime movie toy*
I hope that Starscream has some good lines in the movie. Isn't Starscream voiced by Daniel Ross?
@ Falcon: You'll be disappointed then since he has very few lines...

Awww....
Even so, with the lines that he has, does he sound good?
Here's a sound clip. Did this line make it into the movie?

I've been playing the game on the 360 does 'ol one eye (shockwave) make a cameo in the movie, just wondering since hes in the game.
BTW it is a hard game, and probally the best movie related game i've ever played
I wouldn't look at the game to find out what's in the movie... Shockwave isn't in the movie. A lot of what occurs in the game is very different from the movie.

One thing that I find really funny about this movie is how Sam uses Bumblebee to get Mikhala (the girl) to be his girlfriend. I saw this on a clip on Youtube. XD
All this talk makes me want to see the RIGHT NOW. ACK!!!!!!!!
OH MY FUCKING GOD... that was an awesome movie... Saw it in one of the cinemas down south in New Queensland, and besides the crappy australian ads before the movie it was definitely an awesome time. Best part about it? They brought back Peter Cullen to voice Optimus Prime. Won't say anymore due to the fact that it might be considered spoilers to the rest of you.

Holy Shit!! I just saw this movie and I really loved it!
The most important thing about this movie is that at the end, it will leave you wanting more.
Here's a little something related to the movie I decided to come up with:
*Barricade Transforms and confronts Lynk*
Barricade: "ARE YOU THE ONE NAMED 'LYNK FORMER'?"
Lynk: "Uh...yeah."
Barricade: "HOW MANY POINTS DO YOU HAVE FOR YOUR WII?"
Lynk: "No! You can't have them."
Yeah, yeah, it's really lame and it has nothing to do with ebay, but I couldn't resist it after seeing the "LADIESMAN217" Part of the movie. XD
XD @ Falcon

It isn't out in the uk yet so Shut the *insert every curse word in existence in here* up ok -.-
god hurry up 27th july >.<
Now that I've seen it, all the excitment that I felt before seeing it has died down. Now my life seems slow again. XD
I saw the advance screening Monday night. I highly enjoyed it and definitely wasn't let down. Lots of explosions which you expect from Michael Bay, but it still had a good story and it was well done.
