If the car looks good, at least the movie will be remembered for the car actually being real. I just hope they don't get goofy and add the old SFX, then I would call the movie soured.

Oh boy does this bring back the memories. I can't believe they are actually going to make this movie.

I hope they use at least one bullet time moment when speed first activates one of the "Safety 7" that would be just enough Wachowski touch the movie will ever need, preferably the A button for the wheel jacks. If anyone ever has noted in the first Fast and Furiose movie, when they activated their turbo, I would also settle for a scene like that too, when Speed activates the turbo or some other button. I am an effects afficionado, Yar!

I agree with you on special effects, but I get the feeling that this movie will probably need more than just special FX in order to become a summer blockbuster; It will need, at least, a decent plot. A pretty good plot at best.
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't The Matix Reloaded have better special effects than it did a plot? Because that's what my mother said about it.
