Well since no one has started anything in this forum, let me.

Ive only seen about 2 episodes of this show, and it is amazing. For 2 episodes, I couldnt dive into much story, but, like Lynk, I agree that this show has some of the most amazing visual ever to dwarf a TV screen.

I cant remember which anime company made this show, but they are known for intermixing traditional animation with computer CGI, and the result is breathtaking...

The one thing I just find wierd about the show (and a lot of other anime and movies do it too), is the mixing of technology and style.

For example, the thing that I thought was VERY cool, was thier floating battleships in the sky.

But, as a battleship, they do things, like 16th or 17th century England and Spain; having men take up position on the top deck, and shoot at each other with rifles.

Thier airplanes, look like a mix between the wright flyer and early World War 1 or 2 fighters.

I guess, this is just a statement about thier people, but on the whole, I think it is a great show, and that many people should check this out.

Saw a couple of episodes a while ago and they were pretty good. The animation was fantastic, more like OAV level than TV series level. And for teen/young characters, they managed to NOT annoy the hell out of me, which surprised me. I don't remember much of it sadly, although I do remember that I want Al's bleating goat

I saw the whole thing on TechTV *says prayer for now dead network*. And then bought most of it...never was able to get all of it unfortunately.

Love it, the characters, dubbing, animation, action, emotion, ALL rocks!

Last Exile is the greatest animated series of all time, hands down. Every time I see it I am in awe.

Same here, everytime I watch the entire series of Last Exile I get such a rush by the end. It's so damn cool XD So underated.

It didn't have a completely happy ending for everyone, everyone ends up liking Dio and Lucciola. But that's what makes it so good, those happy endings where everyone is fine and well suck.

You considered that a spoiler? Well I just read that...Dio is alive, in the endind you see a clip of someone out of shot you just see their foot or something and its a Guild uniform.....

Yes, I do consider that a spoiler, a BIG one since you don't want to ruin the impact of it for other people...

I think you're mistaken, that never actually happened at the end of the series. It was a picture, to be specific the cover of the last volume of LE on DVD in Japan. It shows a group of the main characters hanging up washing and you can see a figure just coming into the frame from the left. You can only see that person's hand and foot cause he's walking toward Claus. The expression on everyone's faces is surprise and they are VERY glad to see this person. So obviously it's Dio, but one thing that people seem to fail to notice is that there are TWO shadows there, the other one being Lucciola.

But like I said, it's not actually in the anime, it's just artwork so it doesn't really count.

Do you realy recommend Last Exile then. Does it go into real depth about the characters personality and psyche if so cool ill have to put this on my list of animes ill buy when i get a job XD

Seriously, this series was great. Interesting characters (Dio was pretty unpredictable), great visuals and music.

I´ve just watched the first 10 episodes and am very fond of what I´ve seen
Good storyline and great visual appearance, especially for a tv-series.
Oh, and it´s funny how the japanese voice actors try to pronounce "Klaus"
